All past Buddhas became symbols of their own nature, and to inspire enlightenment, the sons of the gods diligently performed the bathing ritual from the realm of the sky. The gods of the intermediate space were distracted by the service of praise songs. Brahma and Indra made the touch of soft silk appropriate. As soon as the Bodhisattva was born, in order to show that he was quickly heading towards the path of the four immeasurables, after he had taken seven steps in each of the four directions, the lotus stamens offered by the gods also appeared clearly, so it is said. When he was in the Lumbini garden, the flowers opened naturally. Five hundred Shakya youths, including Ananda, and five hundred young elites, including mantra holders, were also born. This great earth shook violently, and a great light pervaded, so the four small kings of the realms each claimed it as a sign that they had given birth to a son. Then, with all the virtuous friends, and those like insect armor, he learned writing, arithmetic, and riding elephants from his uncle Zang Len, and mastered many arts, and lived in the palace. At that time, his father admonished him to take the daughters of the three Shakya clans, who held sticks and so on, as consorts. The gods said, 'Our race is good at wrestling, not anything else.' Even so, the young man arrogantly said, 'Within the three realms, no one can dare to compete with me in strength and skill.' He vowed to prove his ability, so he announced that he would compete in skills with the cruel and unreasonable Shakyas, and then went outside the city. At that time, the elephant that came from Vaishali to offer to the young man, Devadatta, killed it with just a clap of his hands because of extreme jealousy. Ananda threw it out from the doorway with force. In order to show the strength of the two, the Bodhisattva did not get off the chariot, but grabbed the elephant's tail with his toe and threw it to a distance of more than seven worlds, and the gods praised it. After that, they began to compete, stacking seven Tala trees, iron wheels, and pottery pots, and piercing them with tiny arrows. Devadatta

Three. The younger brother rejoices in five. From the land where the youth transcends all, a spring called Arrow Water Well, endowed with eight branches, arises. Similarly, in wrestling matches of youthful strength, riding elephant necks, swimming in great rivers like swans, and so on, in all aspects of the sixty-four arts, no one could surpass the bodhisattva's majestic demeanor. The Lord of the World, for a time, enters in accordance with his nature, to tame beings and to abandon the faults of being controlled by other senses. He married six myriads of supreme consorts, each with retinues of twenty thousand, such as the Earth-Nourishing Mother, the Fame-Holding Mother, and the Deer-Born Mother, who were free from the five faults of women and possessed eight virtues, and enjoyed the appearance of sensual pleasures as if they were illusions. Acting in this way was also to truly enter renunciation and to turn the reins of the world towards the Dharma. From the sound of the lute, the power of past aspirations was awakened. With desire as the charioteer, when he went to the four directions of the city for recreation, he saw the four signs of birth, old age, sickness, and death, and his heart was filled with great sorrow, and he said: Old age, sickness, and death will come. If these three did not exist, I would also be very happy To enjoy these beautiful places. Thus, perfect prosperity is also impermanent, accompanied by and pervaded by the suffering of change, bound by conditioned phenomena, and his heart was utterly disgusted with the nature of suffering upon suffering following like a shadow, and he vowed to definitely renounce. At that time, the retinue of King Śuddhodana, fearing that the prince would renounce, guarded the surroundings of the city with eyes and torches, not allowing him to leave, and on the last night, he bowed to his father, bound him with vows, and eliminated the possibility of his parents not allowing it. Riding on the steed Kantaka, accompanied by the service of the Four Great Kings, he flew away from the sky. In front of the pure stupa, he personally shaved his own hair, abandoning the marks of not being a renunciate. He exchanged his clothes for coarse cloth and saffron robes.
