Please, Guru, deliver me from these eight kinds of laziness! Please quickly awaken me from this deep sleep! Please quickly remove me from this darkness of ignorance! To the supreme Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, I take refuge until enlightenment. By the merit of my giving and other virtuous deeds, may I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings! (Repeat three times) I beseech you, the protector of all sentient beings, the deity who destroys the hosts of demons and their invincible armies, the Bhagavan who knows all things as they are, to come to this place with your retinue. It is good that the Bhagavan has come here! We are fortunate to have merit and good fortune. In order to receive my offerings, please remain steadfastly in this place. I offer a lotus with eight petals and stamens, equal to all three thousand worlds, in a comfortable and spacious place, please be seated comfortably. Padma Kamalaye Tvam. In a bathing room that is exceedingly fragrant, a crystal floor is displayed, clear and shining. It has pleasing pillars of blazing jewels, and a canopy hung with strings of pearls. Just as at the moment of your birth, all the gods bathed you, so too, I bathe you with pure water from the heavens. To the Tathagatas and their sons, with many precious vases filled with fragrant water, and with delightful songs and music, I bathe you. Om Sarva Tathagata Abhisheka Te Samaya Shri Hum. I offer to their bodies incomparable garments, and wipe their bodies with clean cloths that emit a rich fragrance. Om Hum Tram Hrih Ah. Kaya Bishodhana Ye Svaha. Then I offer to them robes of excellent color, supremely fragrant and sublime. I offer various kinds of fine, thin, and soft garments, and hundreds of excellent ornaments. Om Vajra Vashtaye Svaha. I anoint the ground with fragrant water and scatter flowers. I visualize this mandala, adorned with Mount Meru, the four continents, the sun, and the moon, as a Buddha-field and offer it. May all beings enjoy pure realms. By offering this excellent mandala to please you, may there be no obstacles on the path to enlightenment, may I realize the intentions of the Sugatas of the three times, may I not be confused in samsara nor abide in peace, and may I liberate beings as vast as space. From then on, may all be dedicated to perfect enlightenment. May all sentient beings have happiness and the cause of happiness! May all sentient beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering! May all sentient beings never be separated from the sacred happiness without suffering! May all sentient beings abide in great equanimity, free from both near and far, attachment and hatred! Meditate on the four immeasurables three times. Until reaching the essence of enlightenment, I take refuge in the Buddhas. I also take refuge in the Dharma and the Sangha of Bodhisattvas. Just as the Sugatas of the past, Generated the mind of enlightenment, And abide in the training of the Bodhisattvas, In that order. I also, for the benefit of beings, Will generate the mind of enlightenment, And likewise, in that training, I will train in that order. Recite three times. Today my life has meaning, I have obtained the excellent state of human existence. Today I am born into the Buddha's lineage, Now I have become a son of the Buddha. Today, in front of all the protectors, I invite beings to be Sugatas, And in between, all are guests of happiness, May the gods and demigods, etc., rejoice. ༈ The Twelve Deeds: From the city of immortality with a hundred joys, The supreme white lotus of the mind of enlightenment, The vessel holding the essence of the Shakya clan, Is the illusory goddess with deer eyes. Like a thousand lights rising on the eastern mountain, The womb's pistil blooming in the Lumbini grove, Adorned by the service of Brahma and Indra, I prostrate to the prophecy of the enlightenment lineage. In the midst of the proud Shakya youths, The power of the sixty-four arts of illusion, All bow down to you and praise you, The consciousness of beings is perfected in the eyes and ears. As if not bound by the noose of desire and attachment, For the pleasure of the kind father, in the illusion of the consorts, Looking at the palace with the view of illusion, I prostrate to the accomplishment of all purposes by protecting it. Although there is no one who is not controlled by the hook of the extremely wavering and fearful kingdom, The four conditions of definite renunciation steal your heart, And show yourself as a natural monk.
