On the crown of the head, complete with all qualities, is Oṃ. At the throat is Āḥ. At the heart is marked with Hūṃ. From that, light radiates, and from the Akaniṣṭha heaven, the wisdom beings, just as they were meditated upon, are invited. Jaḥ Hūṃ Vaṃ Hauḥ, merge into non-duality. Offer from Arghaṃ to Shabda, and offer with Sarva Pañca Bhaliṃta Khāhi. Supreme form, wrathful, with the face of a rakshasa. Nāgas, local deities, tremble and are afraid. Demons are the great demons of eternity. I go for refuge to you, I prostrate and praise. The visualization for recitation is: With the fierce force of compassionate wrath, In order to subdue the evil of nāgas and demons, Meditate on peaceful Mañjuśrī in the heart. From the mouths of the rakshasas, the sound of mantras, Like a rising flame, Completely destroys those who lead astray and harm. Oṃ Phe Laṃ Hūṃ. Recite this. If the power of the demon is great, and you yourself have become a powerful god who is an ally, then recite: Nāga Duna Candhe Candhe Mili Mili Bhandhra Bhandhra Nāga Ni Sarva Biṣa Ta Ra Phaṭ. If you do not understand the key point of recitation, and merely count the fierce mantras, you will see that you are cutting off your own life. Whether you recite the peaceful or fierce mantra, add: Śambhur Oṃ Nāga Duna Candhe Candhe Mili Mili Bhandhra Bhandhra Nāga Ni Sarva Biṣa Ta Ra Phaṭ. After reciting no less than a thousand times, offer with Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ, offer the offering substances, and then dissolve the vase deity into light. The third is to accomplish the nāga vase and summon the nāgas: In front of oneself, visualized as the yidam, in a garden adorned with green grass, trees, and flowers, all the nāgas and local deities of Jambudvīpa are seated. Above them in the sky, in a vast and wide jewel vase made of light, filled with milk and nāga medicine, visualize the Buddha Nāga King, with a blue body, white from the throat up, with both hands holding the mudra that liberates all nāgas from the lower realms. From him, clear and cool rays of light radiate, and all the nāgas and local deities, as if moved by the wind, are involuntarily summoned and merge with the image. Eliminate their respective illnesses and sufferings. From his body, a stream of amrita flows, filling the vase, and contemplate that it has the power to nourish the nāgas. Then recite: Oṃ Namo Bhagavate Śvara Rāja Ga Sarva Durge Te Śāntiṃ Kuru Svāhā. After reciting as much as possible, the dhāraṇī for bestowing happiness on the nāgas: Tadyathā Dharaṇi Udarini Saṃpratiṣṭhate Vijayavarṇapatya Pratika Paraha.
