那些等待食物的众多动物们，愿他们来世能成为我所调伏的对象。说完，眼泪如泉涌般流出，在一座高高的石山顶上竖起了耳朵。这是出自名为《野兽的故事——必然出现的信使》中，善知识所讲述的，第一章：劝勉对轮回生起厌离心。之后，野兽的首领，那只渴望成为兽群之王的野兽，带领着所有的野兽，像翠玉坛城般在广阔的草原上漫步，嬉戏玩耍，享受快乐。此时，无间地狱的大城市里正在建造集会场所。有个老猎人，虽然非常想去那里，但由于业力的剩余，稍微耽搁了一下。他多生以来一直保持着豺狼的习性，积累了深厚的习气，对于非功德之事非常勇猛，被五种束缚紧紧捆绑着。他在睡梦中梦见，在像撒满金粉的草原上，无数的野兽嬉戏玩耍，而猎人自己正在中央吹奏着融入三种痛苦之歌的笛子。野兽们听到笛声，聚集过来，越来越近。醒来后，他立刻回忆起刚才的梦境。轮回的种子，凭借着多变的意识，激发了烦恼之心。于是他从床上起身，准备了弓箭、绳索等各种武器。带着许多与自己业力相符、外形丑陋、长着毒牙的猎狗，像游荡一样向山谷上方走去。正如梦中所见，在像撒满金粉的草原上，许多野兽杂乱无章地嬉戏玩耍，悠然自得。于是他将猎狗和工具藏在山沟里，伪装成一位寻找丢失牲畜的老牧人，脸上带着寒冷、饥饿、口渴三种痛苦交织的表情，慢慢靠近野兽们。渴望成为野兽之王的首领看到了他，说道：

May all those great herds of animals waiting for food be born as beings to be tamed by me in the future. Saying this, tears streamed down, and he stood with his ears perked up on top of a high rocky mountain. This is from the story called "The Messenger of Certainty: Tales of Wild Animals," by the virtuous spiritual friend, the first chapter: Urging Disgust with Samsara. Then, the chief of the wild animals, the supreme one desiring to be the leader of the herd, led all the wild animals, following behind him, as they roamed across the wide expanse of grassland, which resembled a mandala adorned with turquoise, frolicking and enjoying themselves. At that time, in the great city of the Hell of Uninterrupted Suffering, an assembly hall was being built. An old hunter, though very eager to go there, was slightly delayed by the residue of his karma. He had accumulated strong habitual patterns from having continuously maintained the state of a jackal for many lifetimes. He was very brave in non-virtuous actions and was tightly bound by the girdle of the five bonds. In his dream, he saw himself in the middle of a grassland that looked like it was strewn with golden powder, with countless wild animals frolicking and enjoying themselves, while he himself was playing a flute that was tuned to the song of the three sufferings. The wild animals, drawn by the sound of the flute, gathered closer and closer. Then, when he awoke from his sleep, he immediately remembered the dream he had just had. The seed of samsara, with its active, fickle consciousness, stirred up his afflicted mind. So he rose from his bed and prepared various weapons such as bows, arrows, and ropes. He led many hunting dogs, who shared his karma, with ugly appearances and poisonous fangs, and went up the valley as if wandering around. Just as in his dream, he saw many wild animals scattered across the grassland that looked like it was strewn with golden powder, frolicking and relaxed. There, he hid the hunting dogs and tools in a ravine. He disguised himself as an old shepherd who had gone to search for lost livestock, with an expression that combined the three sufferings of cold, hunger, and thirst, and approached the wild animals. The chief of the wild animals, the one desiring to be the leader of the herd, saw him and said:

唉呀，鹿群们请仔细听着！ 那身影步履蹒跚，举步维艰。 似人非人，似鬼非鬼，令人疑惑的身影。 见到这般模样，我心中不悦。 然而，不可能是猎人。 若是猎人，定会有天铁的旗帜， 细小的箭矢，斑驳的箭筒， 以及那夺命的猎犬，如豺狼般的身影。 这些一样也没有带来。 我们去喝那清澈的泉水吧！ 说着，便带领鹿群前往一处水洼。 这时，猎人带着藏在山坳里的猎犬，拿着工具，紧贴在一处岩石缝隙中，吹起了笛子。 那贪欲的鹿王被笛声所吸引，说道： 唉！感受苦乐的，是外境所致。 今天听到了前所未闻的美妙声音。 这并非有形的人所能发出， 莫非是天界的乾闼婆之女， 或是大地之神所为吧！ 如此美妙的乐声，真是悦耳动听。 我们以后恐怕难以再听到。 聪明的鹿群们，都跟我来！ 说着，便带领鹿群追逐笛声而去。 谁知，从岩石缝隙中冲出极其凶猛的猎犬，其迅猛如天上的飞鸟，其敏捷如水中的游鱼，怒不可遏地龇着牙。 那如同死神化身般的景象，仅仅是看到就足以让人心惊胆战，十二因缘，十二因缘。 实际上，鹿群被追赶。 由于过于执着于感官享受，那贪欲的鹿王，因业力所致，脱离了鹿群，经历了拉热、隆热四种形态的生老病死。 被切割，呼吸奄奄一息，感受着三重苦：苦苦、坏苦、行苦。 最终，被逼到了一处巨大的悬崖边，那深不见底的峡谷令人胆寒。 猎犬们将它团团围住，用爪子抓挠，用牙齿撕咬。 这时，那鹿心想：唉！我没有听从鹿群首领，智慧之月的话，才遭受如此难以忍受的痛苦和恐惧。 现在，要追随这些猎犬的足迹了。

Alas, deer herds, listen carefully! That figure walks with faltering steps, lifting and placing its feet with difficulty. A figure that is neither human nor ghost, causing doubt. Seeing such a sight, my heart is not pleased. However, it cannot be a hunter. If it were a hunter, there would be a banner of sky-iron, Slender arrows, a mottled quiver, And the life-slaying hunting dogs, like jackals. None of these are brought along. Let us go to drink the clear spring water! Saying this, it led the deer herds to a waterhole. At that moment, the hunter brought the hunting dogs hidden in the mountain hollow, carried the tools, stuck to a rock crevice, and began to play the flute. The desire-filled deer king, captivated by the sound of the flute, said: Alas! The one who experiences pleasure and pain is caused by external circumstances. Today, I heard a sound of unprecedented beauty. This cannot be produced by a corporeal human, Perhaps it is the daughter of a Gandharva from the heavens, Or perhaps it is done by the earth goddess! Such a beautiful sound is pleasing to the ears. It will be difficult for us to hear it again in the future. Wise deer, all come with me! Saying this, it led the deer herds to chase after the sound of the flute. Unexpectedly, extremely ferocious hunting dogs rushed out from the rock crevice, their swiftness like birds in the sky, their agility like fish in the river, gnashing their teeth with unbearable hatred. That scene, like the embodiment of death, was enough to make hearts tremble at the mere sight, the twelve links of dependent origination, the twelve links of dependent origination. In reality, the deer herds were chased. Due to excessive attachment to sensory pleasures, the desire-filled deer king, due to the power of karma, separated from the herd and experienced the four forms of laro, lungro, birth, aging, sickness, and death. Being cut off, with breath on the verge of ceasing, it felt the three sufferings: the suffering of suffering, the suffering of change, and the pervasive suffering of conditioning. Finally, it was forced to the edge of a huge cliff, the unfathomable canyon chilling the mind. The hunting dogs surrounded it, scratching with their claws and tearing with their teeth. At that moment, the deer thought: Alas! I did not listen to the leader of the deer herds, the moon of wisdom, and thus I am experiencing such unbearable pain and fear. Now, I must follow the tracks of these dogs.
