In a land covered with ashes, it is the center of the Dharma, prosperous, flourishing, peaceful, and with good harvests. In places filled with cities, towns, and many people, there is the great Jokhang Temple of Lhasa. Like a victorious prince, it is as bustling as Anathapindika's Jeta Grove. There, the perfectly enlightened Buddha Shakyamuni, in response to the prayers of sentient beings, does not answer with words, but fulfills their individual wishes as they desire. He does not engage in the four postures, but remains constantly in equipoise. Even a fathom of light is made invisible to ordinary people, pacifying all elaborations. Countless Bodhisattvas and Shravaka Sanghas surround him, making offerings, painting, honoring, remembering, generating the supreme Bodhicitta, and making vast aspirations as their support. What need is there to say more! The teacher Hero said, "The objects that bring joy, the youth that brings satisfaction, and acting as one pleases, are all doors to doing things in vain." As it is said, those who are naturally entangled in various trivial matters, whose own wealth is diminished, who have not kept the vows of renunciation, who regard harm as enjoyment, who are arrogant due to their lineage, appearance, power, and youth, such as the Great Qin, Mongols, Uyghurs, Khalkhas, Torghuts, Oirats, Borots, and those who wear animal skins, and those close to the barbaric Mongols and Turks, as well as India, Kashmir, Nepal, Yarkand, Kachur, Philing, and the various small mountain kingdoms in between, all bow their heads and spontaneously possess the gates of the four resources: Dharma, wealth, desire, and liberation. From there, heading south, to the place where one goes in comfort under the protection of two umbrellas, the Odantapuri Monastery is adorned with hundreds of thousands of new splendors, like magnificent garments. Outwardly manifesting the Vinaya, inwardly practicing taming, and in other ways corresponding to the Secret Mantra, the three ways are unmixed, the naturally accomplished monastery, or renamed as the glorious Samye Monastery,

Because they looked without satisfaction, they went again from the south to the south, to a place a day's journey away. In the area of the four Ru of Ü-Tsang, under the hanging curtain of the sky, all ten auspicious characteristics of the place were fully present. Like a mountain with ears of rice burning with glory, it was also regarded as an auspicious omen for the land. Where the holy Dharma began, the palace had Yumbu Lhakhang, and the two temples of Tramdruk Jampa Mingyur Lhündrub. Like a pair of wild ducks embracing each other in pursuit of vows, a new ritual was composed. The practice place of Queen Nangtsulma, the Rinchen Thang temple, was like a peacock daughter going to a pleasure garden, possessing hundreds of auspicious characteristics. Nearby, the great translator Chokro Luyi Gyaltsen showed the king the crystal statue Chokpa, and it is said that the actual crystal statue of the Arya from India was placed inside the stupa due to local attachment. The old and new statues built by Tsenpo Lhachenpo of Tsa, which Atisha scattered with his hands, and the Takchen Bumoche built by the re-disciple of the Kadampa Nê'u Zurpa, Kyorchenpo. In the area between Serpa and Yupa, known as Yarlung, during the time of Lord Lhade, the monastery of Köntang Dramiktang was very prosperous, but after a while it declined. There was a householder monk named Aro Darma, who had a talking parrot who was an emanation of Tara. Because he could predict the good and bad of trade routes, the safety of roads, etc., most people traveled with him. Once, when the parrot was left in the village, he hid his big turquoise at home and entrusted it to the parrot. After that, the parrot became ill and hid in the turquoise, and in his will said not to move the body until the owner arrived. When he arrived there, he knew it was a karmic connection, and built a small stupa with both the parrot's body and the turquoise inside. It was built by Smriti with his own hands, and it was very blessed. When the Parrot Stupa became famous and everyone circumambulated it with devotion, when one person started to take out the turquoise and was discovered by another, when they were discussing whether to wrap the stupa with an outer covering or surround it with an iron fence, a fierce battle broke out between Serpa and Yupa, killing many people.
