Furthermore, regarding the relationship between teacher and disciple, and examining the vessel, etc., from the "Fifty Verses on the Guru," it says, "After associating for ten years, one can examine and teach the disciple who is capable." And so on, there are more detailed explanations in the teachings of Rinchen Lingpa, etc. Therefore, you have no knowledge of how to examine the guru and disciple. Regarding examining the Dharma, things like the style of writing, contradictions in sound and words, irrelevance, repetition, and incompleteness, etc., if they do not establish something as non-Dharma and non-Buddha-word, then the root and commentary of the Kalachakra, the upper commentary of Chakrasamvara, and other Mind Section commentaries, as well as the great commentary of Naropa, etc., clearly state this. If examination can be accomplished by relying on meaning rather than words, then the great Indian pandits, the accomplished Padmasambhava, as well as Garab Dorje, Manjushrimitra, Shri Singha, Jnanasutra, Vimalamitra, Indrabodhi, Kukkuraja, King Ja, Princess Gomadevi, Uparaja, Simharaja, Prabahasti, Elegant Vajra, Buddha Secret, the Indian Damapa, Panchen Shakya Shri, and so on, as well as the Tibetan Vairocana, Ska and Cog, the twenty-five king and subjects, all of whose names are written down, Ma Rinchen Chok, Aro Yeshe Jungne, So, Zur, Nub, Tsa, and other learned and accomplished ones, as well as the Sakyapas from Khon Konchog Gyalpo to Chögyal Phakpa, and the Kadamapas such as Ngok Lekpai Sherab, and the Dagpo Kagyupas such as Drigung, Phagmo, Tsalpa, and Drukpa, and the Shangpa Kagyupa lamas, the Tibetan Serlingpa Chö-ö, Phak-ö, Kunpang Gyal-ye, Yönten Gyatso, so many who have practiced the three trainings of hearing, thinking, and meditation, this alone is enough to inspire confidence, but for those who are narrow-minded, without merit, and with wrong views, this is not within their reach, it is truly regrettable. It is the same for you. In this way, entering through the three examinations and three confidences is extremely important. Now, it is impossible for some uncommon things not to exist. 2 Furthermore, in this land of Tibet, there are now countless tantric texts called Dzogchen. This was spoken by Kuntuzangpo, Garab Dorje, as well as Manjushrimitra, as well as Shri Singha, as well as Nagarjuna's Heart Essence, and
