The gods also constantly protect. The victorious, supreme victors, together with their sons, regard them as precious children and make truthful words. Samadhi and wisdom have immeasurable qualities, and the excellent lineage of Samantabhadra is accomplished. Thus it is. The ultimate result is that even with little effort on the path, one can attain accomplishment within sixteen lifetimes, as stated in the fifth vow: If there are no downfalls, it will be accomplished within sixteen lifetimes. Thus it is. Those who are diligent in means and become masters of wisdom will be liberated in this very life. As stated in the Vajra Secret Tantra: Whatever accomplishment of the unsurpassed mantra is accomplished with great diligence, one will attain enlightenment in this very life and show activities in the field of those to be tamed. The ultimate practice of the countless Vajradharas is profound. Thus it is. Mediocre ones, at the end of the process of gathering in the intermediate state of death, can arise in the form of the union of learning after the two lights of example and meaning, mother and child, mix. If, in the waking state, one realizes the light of meaning, then since it is inseparable from the light of the base, the limit of true wisdom is directly realized, and one becomes manifestly enlightened by arising in the form of the non-learning union. In particular, the three, channels, winds, and bindus, become workable, and the qualities of samadhi and freedom from defilements increase more and more in the mindstream, so one also obtains the eight common siddhis. As it is said: Sky-goers, swords, pills, swift feet, vases, Yaksha servants, elixirs, and eye medicine. Among these, sky-goers are able to dwell in the sky and are immortal. Swords are able to conquer others. Pills are medicines that, when held in the hand, make the body invisible. Swift feet are shoes that, when worn, can circle the edge of the ocean in an instant. Vases are those from which inexhaustible treasures of desires arise. Yaksha servants are those who, when enslaved, accomplish whatever is needed and can complete in one day what would take millions of people to accomplish, like the stupas of King Ashoka, of which hundreds of thousands were built in one night. Elixirs have the lifespan of the sun and moon, the strength of an elephant, the radiance of a lotus, and are lighter than cotton when rising, like the great teacher Padmasambhava.

Furthermore, having attained the immortal body and possessing the eight great siddhis, one can travel in the sky. Their power is like exchanging the mountains of light in Mangyul with each other. Eye medicine applied to the eyes allows one to see the treasures beneath the earth, like the householder Anathapindika giving food. In particular, from the first to the seventh bhumis, there are ten external siddhis: mastery over life, enabling one to remain for as many kalpas as desired; mastery over mind, enabling one to enter and arise from immeasurable samadhis in each moment; mastery over resources, enabling one to fill the world with various foods and wealth merely by thought; mastery over action, enabling one to engage in all crafts and activities as desired; mastery over birth, enabling one to be born in any desired realm of gods or humans; mastery over faith, enabling one to transform all lands into various jewels, and in short, to transform all things into appearances that accord with the common perception of sentient beings. For example, the Second Buddha Padmasambhava transformed the bricks of Samye Monastery into Neising (a precious gem), making them available for everyone to enjoy. Mastery over aspiration, enabling one to accomplish everything as wished, such as filling all worlds with Buddhas. Mastery over miraculous powers, enabling one to manifest as desired, such as holding countless Buddhafields in the sky with a single hair. Mastery over wisdom, enabling one to know whatever one desires to know. Mastery over Dharma, being skilled in distinguishing the names and meanings of all Dharmas. These ten excellent siddhis exist from the three pure grounds onwards, so they are placed internally. As stated in the Vinaya Sutra: "When Dipankara Buddha prophesied to me, at that time, the eighth bhumi was attained, and the ten siddhis were also attained." Moreover, in its ultimate lineage, there is the empowerment of great light, as stated in the Sutra of the Heap of Jewels: "Bodhisattvas who have attained the great earth are empowered by the empowerment of the great cloud of light, and they completely attain the ten siddhis." The ten perfectly pure siddhis exist in the Buddha-ground. The eight great siddhis are: At the culmination of the path of learning of the fourth empowerment, from the path of the complete empowerment of the three doors of the Guru's essence-body, the waves of vajra.
