Medicines that, when accomplished and held in hand, render the body invisible. Swift feet are achieved by crafting boots that, when worn, can circle the edge of the ocean in an instant. The vase is one from which inexhaustible treasures of all desires arise. The Yaksha's servant is one who, when enslaved, accomplishes whatever is needed, completing in a single day tasks that would require hundreds of thousands of people, like King Ashoka building billions of stupas in a single night. Elixir grants a life like the sun and moon, the strength of an elephant, and the radiance of a lotus. When rising, one is lighter than cottonwood, like the great teacher Padmasambhava, who attained a deathless body, possessed the eight siddhis, and travels in the sky. His strength is like exchanging Mount Dawa and Mount Pabong in Mangyul (present-day Ali region). Eye medicine, when applied to the eyes, allows one to see treasures underground, like Anathapindika, the householder. In particular, from the first to the seventh bhumi, there are ten external powers: the power over life, allowing one to remain for as many kalpas as desired; the power over mind, enabling one to abide in immeasurable samadhi for each moment and to arise at will; the power over resources, capable of filling the world with various foods and wealth merely by thought; the power over action, allowing one to engage in all crafts and activities as desired; the power over birth, enabling one to be born in any desired realm of gods or humans; the power over aspiration, transforming all lands into various jewels, and in short, transforming all things into appearances that accord with the common perception of beings, like the Second Buddha (Padmasambhava) transforming the bricks of Samye into Nesi (a precious metal) for everyone to enjoy. The power over prayers, fulfilling everything as wished, such as filling all worlds with Buddhas. The power over miracles, capable of manifesting anything at will, such as holding immeasurable Buddha-fields in the sky with a single hair. The power over wisdom, knowing whatever one desires to know. The power over Dharma is being skilled in distinguishing the names and meanings of all Dharmas. These ten excellent powers exist from the three pure grounds onwards, so they are placed within. As it says in the Vinaya Sutra: When Dipamkara Buddha...

. At the time of being prophesied, one will attain the eighth bhumi, and will also attain the ten powers. Thus it is said. At the end of that continuum, there is the manner of having the great light empowerment, as stated in the Sutra Collection Jewel Cloud: The bodhisattva who has attained the great bhumi is empowered by the empowerment of the great cloud of light, and completely attains the ten powers. Thus it is. The ten powers are extremely pure and are in the Buddha-bhumi. The eight siddhis are: At the end of the path of learning of the four empowerments, from the lama's body of essence, through the path of the ultimate completion of the empowerment of the three doors, with the vajra waves, the three kayas of samsara, and the three winds of arising, abiding, and entering, and the three realms encompassed by the three minds and appearances, are purified from the afflictive obscurations, and are completely purified from the cognitive obscurations, and with that very nature as the main thing, with the common Shravakayana and the uncommon eight noble paths, the antidote is ultimately complete, so the eight distinct consciousnesses are transformed into wisdom. The life force of the two roots of grasping and being grasped is taken away by the Avadhuti, so the waves of what is grasped are pacified and the body is purified, and the waves of what is grasped are pacified and the union of the fruit of speech purification is initiated, and the meaning of the eight siddhis, such as the body support of the four vidyadharas, also appears: subtle and light, able to be subtle, able to act, great self, joyful, all are under control, able to do as one wishes, are the meaning of the eight siddhis. Among them, subtle is seeing all the dharmas of samsara and nirvana as the nature of emptiness. Light is the wind of wisdom, and with its power, one can go to the all-pervading world in an instant with miraculous powers, and be able to see. Able to be subtle is that when the wind-mind enters the central channel, one realizes that oneself and others all dissolve into emptiness, and all dualistic appearances disappear. Able to act is that the inner consort is the central channel, and there, through the interdependent arising of the wind-mind entering into it, one enjoys the five uncontaminated desirable qualities, such as the form of the vajra nature, etc., outwardly. Great self is blazing with marks and signs, etc., completely victorious over the four maras, and becoming the lord of power and strength. Joyful is
