If the precepts are broken, then the novice monk, like a fully ordained monk, will have no chance to receive the precepts in the future. As it is said in the Extensive Commentary: Regarding the four root transgressions, just as it is for a fully ordained monk, it is the same for the novice monk's parents. Thus it is. Among the six transgressions that should be confessed, drinking alcohol is a falling away from the branch of carefulness. In the Vinaya Sutra, it is said: Whoever claims to be my, Shakyamuni Buddha's, benefactor or higher, should not brew alcohol, should not feed alcohol, should not drink alcohol. If they do not do so, they are not my retinue, and I am not their teacher. Therefore, any of the two types of intoxicating alcohol brewed by fermenting grains, medicines, flowers, etc. As a basis, the novice monk's precepts have been well received and not degenerated, if the mind and awareness are not confused, the action is drinking, and ultimately swallowing into the throat, it becomes the real basis of a transgression similar to defeat, and it is also what should be prohibited. Because drinking alcohol confuses awareness and becomes the cause of the four shamelessnesses and all downfalls and misdeeds, this training ground is considered a great fault at the time of individual liberation. Pandit Sadjana also said: If after drinking alcohol, discipline, meditation, wisdom, view, livelihood, rituals, memory, mindfulness, faith, and diligence are lost, and virtuous Dharma is wasted, then one should not drink alcohol. In the Sutra of the Joyful One, it is said: Twenty-five faults arising from intoxication are spoken of. And so on. The remaining five are called branches of ascetic practice. Dancing and so on are: The prohibited things such as the unrestrained, wild bodily dances, verbal songs, and the combination of playing three kinds of musical instruments are: because the thought of amusement increases attachment to samsara and leads to arrogance and pride, they are prohibited. Garlands and so on are: Garlands, applying incense, holding ornaments and colors. As it is said, garlands adorned with jewels or with jewels, anointing the body with fragrant scents, and adorning the body in a way that is considered beautiful in the world, such as sewing tassels on a Chinese hat, using public containers, and so on. Colors are beautiful clothes and so on that are suitable for the place, time, and occasion. A high bed is: A throne made of jewels, or adorned with jewels.

And, a bed that is longer than one's own cubit. These are also built by others desiring merit, and are not occasions for teaching the Dharma, as stated in the "Three Hundred Verses." Afternoon food is food at an inappropriate time. The time for eating is from the appearance of dawn until noon. Dawn appears when the night is divided into nine parts, and half of the seventh part remains. During that time, the Buddha allowed eating in order to strengthen the body for achieving liberation, and for the purpose of nourishing insects. Also, time refers to those who are sick and benefit from it, and not during times of famine. Being in accordance with the aspect means that whichever half it is, it is not cut off by water at the beginning and end, and even if it is medicine, it is like medicine yogurt that can be taken as a dose, and is inconspicuously drunk in the afternoon, and seven-day ghee and brown sugar, etc., are eaten without being soaked in water and without being blessed, and medicine tea, etc., held for survival, is not soaked in water, or one drinks it without rinsing one's mouth with water first. Furthermore, eating stale food, and moldy food, and eating meat that does not meet the three standards of purity, and storing, etc., should be prohibited. What should be prohibited is that the body becomes obese and becomes a cause for engaging in improper behavior. Receiving gold and silver means touching and receiving those precious jewels that have characteristics, without blessing them. The basis, intention, action, and ultimate result are the same as before. What should be prohibited is that because attachment to valuable objects increases, inferior copper, iron, and coarse cloth, etc., should also be prohibited. Thus, being summarized into ten aspects is like the Vrijis' son, who became discouraged by hearing too many precepts, and in order to avoid abandoning the vows, they were summarized into ten and spoken, but if divided in detail, there are thirty-three, as it is said: "Four root sins, killing three, slandering five without basis, associating knowingly, slandering and food essence leftovers, storing grain wine covering, dance three garland three, large bed high seat untimely food, jewels interval there are three, thus thirty and three also." That is, on top of the four root sins, belonging to the category of killing similar to defeat, killing animals.
