The essence of the Pratimoksha vows is to turn away from harming others and its basis, motivated by the thought of renunciation. Since it arises from body and speech, it is considered a form-based vow, and it is also considered the seed for the continuous arising of the mind of renunciation. The different views of the upper and lower schools should be understood from the root and commentary of the Abhidharmakosha. Here, the Bodhisattva's vows of ethics refer to the Upavasa based on the layperson's side, and the Upasaka and Upasika (male and female lay devotees); on the ordained side, the Bhikshu and Bhikshuni (monk and nun), the Shramanera and Shramanerika (male and female novice), and the Shikshamana (probationary nun), that is, having the two Bodhicitta of aspiration and application on top of any of the eight types of Pratimoksha. Thus, if these eight types of bases are condensed into substance, then there are the Bhikshu and Bhikshuni, the Shramanera and Shramanerika and Shikshamana, and the Upasaka and Upasika. These are just changes in name, only a transformation of name, but in reality, on the same entity, together with the Upavasa vows, they are considered four substances. As it says in the Abhidharmakosha: "Pratimoksha is called eight, in substance there are four types. Because the name changes from the name, these differences do not contradict." That is to say, there are two ways to obtain the vows initially, one is the previous ritual that is completed with little effort, and the other is the current ritual that is completed with effort. The first is that the complete Buddha and the self-enlightened Bodhi, through realizing the Bodhi that knows cessation and non-arising, naturally obtain the Upasampada; the five good groups, when the path of seeing arises, through the comprehension of wisdom; these three are because the very nature of a true Bhikshu arises in their own continuum, thereby obtaining the Upasampada. Similarly, the Khenpo who bestows the Upasampada also has the characteristics that only the noble ones possess, and the individual who is completing it has fewer obscurations from the ripening of karma and afflictions, and for the supreme disciple whose wisdom, basis, and faculties are mature, such as Shariputra obtaining it through "Come, Shariputra," Mahakashyapa obtaining it through promising to be the teacher, the good Sangha obtaining it through promising to take refuge in the Three Jewels, प्रजापती(藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思:Lord of beings) etc. obtaining it through promising to abandon the eight heavy Dharmas, and Sudatta becoming the object of obtaining Upasampada through being pleased with the answer to the question, this is completed through blessings. Similarly, the power of offering parents

After that happened, the Bhikshuni Utpala acted as a messenger, relying on the letter ritual, etc., and the number of the Sangha should be at least ten in the central region, and five gathered in the remote areas, performing ordination and full ordination at once through the four karmas. As stated in the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha, "The Vaibhashikas and Vinaya masters say that full ordination can be attained through ten methods." Just like that. Among them, self-origination is like this: "I have no Khenpo, so I am a self-originated Bhikshu." Just like that, the Teacher himself appeared before attaining Buddhahood. And "Come hither" was done from the time of enlightenment to the time of Nirvana. Although this is the time of the teaching of fruition, due to seeing some faults, the preliminary ritual of the four karmas was allowed. Others, not long after enlightenment, the way of receiving full ordination before the ritual had not yet appeared is like this. Among them, the first seven were those who were blessed with the preliminary ritual, because there was no complete ritual of the four karmas. The current ritual is the same as the letter ritual, due to the difference in the number of Bhikshus in the central and remote areas, and the difficulty, there are gatherings of ten, gatherings of five, or in special cases, gatherings of four, and completion in two Sanghas, and gradual completion in sequence through letters, etc. Among them, regarding the terms central region and remote area, the location is centered on India, as stated in the "Verse Explanation": "Likharana is a dense forest, the place where Likhar trees grow is the east. The mountain called Ushiri, is the dark mountain is the north. The city of Kapa near the pillar is located in the west. The river near the reed city is the reed river is the south. In the middle of these places, it is called the central region, the outside places are called remote areas, this is what the infinitely wise one said." Just like that. Even so, now wherever the teachings of scripture and realization exist, it is considered the central region of the Dharma area. Among them, there are two types of laws, the law of time and the permanent law. First, generally speaking, the basis for generating vows is that the Vaibhashikas believe that whether it is a man or a woman from the three continents of Jambudvipa, they can only obtain it from a Bhikshu. Moreover, the five types of hermaphrodites, emanations, those with two sets of genitals, heretics, those who have committed the five heinous crimes, parents, and those not allowed by the king.
