Since all of samsara and nirvana have been established as the nature of dependent origination, this is the precious point in the words of the Tathagata, and whoever understands this can easily and correctly understand the teachings of the Teacher. As the common treatises say: O monks, whoever understands this Sal tree seedling understands dependent origination; whoever understands dependent origination understands the Dharma; whoever understands the Dharma understands the Buddha. It is like that. Even so, the Lesser Vehicle paths are only a stepping stone to the Great Vehicle. As it says in the Sutra Requested by Ocean of Intelligence: The emptiness of their conceptual emptiness is like the space inside a mustard seed eaten by worms. Moreover, the Mother Sutra says: Even those who wish to attain nirvana in the Hearer's ground should study the Perfection of Wisdom. Therefore, in order to show that, from the ultimate point of view, the state of nirvana can be attained through the path of the unborn and perfectly accomplished great Dharma nature. Although this is the case, the high and low actions and the black and white cause and effect phenomena that are fabricated in samsara, the peaceful and supreme reality that transcends everything, arise only from the realization of the unborn Dharma nature. Thus, the main factor in fabricating in samsara is the power of karma arising from ignorance, which leads beings from the peak of existence to the Avici hell, to various high and low states. However, this is merely a fabrication of the lower mind, and the Dharma nature that is not established in reality arises from the non-realization of the peaceful great nirvana of unborn nature. As it says in the Pramāṇavārttika: The unerring vision of the Omniscient One is only to understand that all things do not exist at any time. Therefore, here is explained the way to reverse its nature. Among the four noble truths, the truth of suffering is also the appearance of imputing existence to what does not exist, the illusory appearance of dependent origination. As the singer says: If there is no dependent origination, how can suffering exist? The impermanence and suffering that are spoken of are not inherent in nature. Therefore, from the point of view of the ultimate truth, they do not want to regard suffering as a cause. Similarly, the origin is like taking what is not given.

Now, the object to be abandoned is divided into three times, and by analyzing contact and distinguishing between prior and subsequent moments, the time of stealing is interrupted, so the object cannot be established. For example, the object of stealing and the consciousness of the thief, etc., continue in many moments, thus forming a continuity. If the prior and subsequent moments do not contact, the act of stealing will not occur. For example, when saying "Kailasha," the three letter-moments are connected in a sequential manner, thus establishing the name of the snow mountain, but if they are not connected, it cannot be established. Therefore, in the Root Wisdom Treatise, it says: "If there is no self-nature, what can arise? Therefore, for that which harms emptiness, arising does not exist." This is said. Cessation is also negated because suffering and the origin of suffering are both negated in their self-nature. Therefore, when these two cease, cessation is also negated. If there is no object to be negated, there is no cessation, just as medicine is not needed when there is no illness. As stated earlier: "If suffering exists by its own nature, cessation is not reasonable." This is said. Regarding the negation of the path: If the path is cultivated as an antidote to afflictions, is it cultivated simultaneously with the afflictions or separately? If cultivated simultaneously, then in one continuum, the object to be abandoned and the antidote become contradictory. If cultivated separately, just as a lamp cannot dispel darkness as it arises, the antidote cannot overcome the afflictions as they arise. As stated earlier: "When a lamp arises, it does not encounter darkness. How can a lamp dispel darkness as it arises? The lamp is abandoned without encountering it. If it could dispel darkness, then that which exists here would become clear." This is said. The object to be abandoned on the path and indivisible atoms also cannot be established because the prior and subsequent moments do not contact. For example, when saying "Sa-ra-ha," does the letter "ra" contact the preceding and following letters simultaneously or sequentially? If simultaneously, then all things of the three times are simultaneous, so only one moment can exist. If sequentially, then the moment of "ra" itself becomes two parts, because it first contacts "Sa" and then "ha." If this is accepted, then the indivisible moment is lost. Therefore, it is said: "If contacting the preceding and following two, the time of the moment becomes two parts. If the two are simultaneous, then eons"
