May your unobstructed compassion and wisdom increase as before (607 AD). Thus, having established the foundation extremely steadily, the field of experience, the unconditioned nature of reality, is manifested, which is the ultimate fruit, the state of the supreme, self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished great perfection. Commentary on the thirteenth chapter of the Treasury of Precious Qualities is complete. Thus, the meaning of the actual body has been explained. Now, the third part explains the meaning of the conclusion, which has four points: The confidence in expounding the sutras and tantras, the way to obtain the blessings of the guru; The way of particularly cherishing those whose minds are limited and cannot contain this Dharma; The way the positions of the philosophical schools, the countless streams, flow into the ocean of equanimity; The way to dedicate the roots of virtue to perfect enlightenment. The first point is explained by "My lineage," etc.: My lineage, in this vessel, having perfectly kindled the three lamps of wisdom that are accumulated, how did I obtain the confidence of completely perfecting the thirteen chapters of the doctrine that leads the three examinations to the path? At what time, when single-mindedly engaging in practice at the practice place of Drakmar Keutsang in Chimphu, Samye, Having seen the face of the protector of the three realms, the stainless light (608 AD), if I had not received the empowerment of the great bodhisattva of compassionate power, then on the cliff of samsara, which is not the path, the precious human body with leisure and endowments would have been wasted. That's what it says. Then, didn't the lord himself promise to be the emanation of that victor? Although it is so, there is no contradiction, because the basis of the emanation is the Buddha, But for the time being, the emanation appears to the beings to be tamed, so he shows the manner of walking the path, The appearance of the emanation does not cause the basis of the emanation to disappear, just like the moon in the sky and the moon in the water. The second point is explained by "Therefore," etc.: Because of that reason, whatever part of this treatise is well explained is due to the power of the wisdom born of meditation, which is the blessing of the guru transferred to the heart. Without relying solely on the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and discriminating, and without creating too much debate, Therefore, the possibility of conforming to one's own philosophical views is great, and if it is contrary, it is like a mountain cannot enter the eye of a needle, which is the nature of reality, so one will not be angry, but will interact with respect and affection.

May it be so! Thus it is said. Thirdly, it is shown by what is called "the nature of Dharma," etc. Through scripture and realization, that nature of Dharma, like an ocean, whose depths are extremely difficult to fathom, can only be measured by the power of the unique quality of remaining in equipoise; it cannot be done by anything else. Therefore, there is never any deception in truly seeing the state of wisdom that knows how it is and how much there is. Fourthly, it is shown by what is called "virtue," etc. May all sentient beings, including myself, the author, through this virtue of having gathered all the essential points of the sutras and tantras and combined them well, enter the correct and excellent path of the Victorious One's tradition, which is free from error, embark on a vessel like a sail that has cleared away the turbidity of the two obscurations, be liberated from the ocean of existence, and go to the island of enlightenment and peace. Until then, in the secluded forest, on the meadow where various wild animals roam, may the trees that display the full realization of the four seasons not proclaim unpleasant sounds to the hermits who are absorbed in meditation. May the flocks of birds, beautiful in form and pleasing in voice, also, like vines entwined by venomous snakes, in this place of samsara, with the great chariot of renunciation of samsara, captivate the mind, and proclaim a very peaceful sound, and having heard that, may it become a friend to samadhi, and may the powers of the six senses be pacified and the glorious state of liberation be attained. Now, may the view free from elaboration not be disturbed by the wind of mental activity, and may the conduct follow the footsteps of the holy bodhisattvas, may it always become a medicine for others and not become a burden of harm, and may the great activity become the glory of all beings and existence. Thus it is said! This work, called "A Rain of Joy, a Treasury of Precious Qualities," was written at the request of the Dharma Lord Drakphukpa of Upper Tsang (northern part of Ü-Tsang region), by the Victorious One, who manifested as an emanation, blazing with a hundred thousand lights, attaining the state of the great transference of the rainbow body, the Dzogchenpa Rangjung Donyö Dorje, a servant who touched the dust of the feet of the great master of Oddiyana, the second Buddha Padmasambhava, directly realizing the unconditioned realm.
