False views are the cause of immeasurable obscurations. Wise and impartial people would not strive to engage in such evil, even for the sake of their own lives, because they would, like the wealthy, go to the Avīci hell for the sake of immediate gains. Like this, even if those who have not joined any sect commit the five inexpiable sins, they may still have a chance to be liberated at some point because of contemplating the profound meaning. However, abandoning the Dharma is not like that. The *Ratnagotravibhāga* says: Because of inferior intelligence, being separated from white Dharma, relying on perverse arrogance, for the sake of the obscurations of abandoning the true Dharma, for the sake of holding onto the correct meaning, for the sake of craving gains, being controlled by views, for the sake of relying on those who denigrate the Dharma, for the sake of prolonging the holding of Dharma, because of inferior faith, even arhats abandon the Dharma. Just as defiled Dharma declines, so too do the wise disappear. Do not be especially afraid of evil people, manifested poison, executioners, and hail. Fire, manifested snakes, enemies, and vajra fire only take life. But they do not go to the extremely frightening places like Avīci hell. Whoever, due to relying on bad friends, harbors ill will towards the Buddha, kills parents, arhats, does what should not be done, and destroys the sangha. If he truly contemplates the nature of reality, he will quickly be liberated from it. If a person's mind hates the Dharma, where is liberation for him? Therefore, because the inclinations and thoughts of sentient beings are different, the languages of beings are also inconceivable. The Sugata teaches all of that with his speech. Inconceivable forms arise from his mind. Because people and Dharma also appear in various forms, for the sake of benefiting beings, this is a false view. This is false. Like this, judging right and wrong with false accusations is an unbearable act. Here, I, the reader, say: Like gold, after being burned, cut, and polished. Examine my words carefully. It should be accepted, but not because of respect for me. Although this statement has a basis, it does not mean clinging to one's own ideas, taking something as a yidam, and then measuring the great Dharma by whether it conforms to one's own ideas. Rather, it means that when learning those Dharmas that should be pursued, one should discern the truth with pure wisdom that arises from contemplating the order of words and meanings. In the *Ratnakūṭa Sūtra*, it says: Those who are like me or similar to me will denigrate the Dharma and people.

One can control oneself, but others cannot, because they will fall into wrongdoing; one should contemplate this meaning. For such reasons, in the room adorned with wisdom, just as Go Lotsawa Zhonnu Pal (འགོས་ལོ་གཞོན་ནུ་དཔལ་) classified the eighteen schools in India, all the teachings in the snowy land, according to their own wishes, are gathered in a place without bias, causing those who abandon the Dharma to return from the ground; this is inconceivable liberation. Similarly, the Sage of the Shakyas also said: Whether old or young, whoever understands the Dharma, one should respectfully prostrate to him, just as a Brahmin uses pure fire. And: To those who know what has been done, remember what has been done, and are grateful for what has been done, the glorious protector will be close to them. Like this, the Fifth Dalai Lama, from his own aspiration, depicted all the teachings of the snowy land, and served and greatly respected the teachings established by the three Dharma Kings, grandfather and grandsons. Therefore, he also understood the reasoning of the Early Translation Vajrayana, and entered with reason. For the heretics, he took on the task of debate. Therefore, the manner of praising in the "Hundred Thousand Tantras" can be clearly understood from pages 195 to 200 of Volume 5 of the Fifth Dalai Lama's hearing records. In short, the Golden One said: All the Nyingma teachings do not need to be translated from India with effort. The words spoken by the emanation of Guru Rinpoche himself are sufficient. Even if translated later from India, even if the mantras and terms are inconsistent, on the supreme and common achievements, because they will not be deceived, they are reliable. For example, the Dharma accepted by the accomplished ones from various great places has not been translated into India from their respective scriptures. The compilers permitted by Vajrasattva have already said that they can be told in the languages of various places. The Nyingma teachings, all those that are certain to be translated from India, do not need to be worked on. Those that are uncertain, in the treatises, these accomplished from practice, whoever's discriminating mind finds a self-created path, wandering and uncertain, whether to translate or not, in Tibet before
