I will not mix all of these together. The great principles that cannot be changed should not be altered but translated into Chinese. If any words that can be flexibly interpreted appear, do not fix them to a single meaning but make them universally applicable. If translating the names of countries, animals, flowers, trees, etc., leads to ambiguity or awkward phrasing, or if they can be vaguely translated and it is impossible to determine their true meaning, then before words such as "head, Yu Yu Er" or "flower," add a common name as a workaround before translating into Chinese. If numbers are translated according to the Indian language, such as "one hundred and thirteen and a half Bhikshus," it would be better to translate them into the common Tibetan way as "two hundred and fifty," which would not contradict the original meaning and would be more fluent in Tibetan. Therefore, all cases where numbers can be summed up should be expressed according to Tibetan custom. For words such as "Pari," "Samu," and "Upa" that appear as prefixes or decorations, if translating them aligns with the original meaning, the method of translation can be to translate them as sounds, such as "completely," "truly," or "near." For those words that do not particularly need to supplement meaning, there is no need to add any superfluous vocabulary; just translate according to their original meaning. For words that belong to categories, if they are not distinguished, use the names commonly used in Tibetan and choose the most appropriate wording. If they are distinguished, they should be translated according to their respective names. For words such as "Buddha," "Bodhisattva," and "Shravaka," and the usage of honorifics, use honorifics for "Buddha," while using medium or lower phrasing for other objects. Just as in the past, when the prince (referring to Songtsen Gampo) in front of his father, a gathering of translators and scholars jointly translated and finalized the translation methods of the *Dharma Cloud Sutra* and the *Lankavatara Sutra*, translation should be carried out in that manner. After translating according to this language standard, no one may arbitrarily modify or add new names. If the various translation and explanation institutions do need to create new names, they should not be arbitrarily decided within their respective institutions but should be studied based on the principles in the Buddhist scriptures and grammar rules, as well as the customary names in the Dharma, and then discussed in the royal palace, in the assembly place of the Blessed One's teachings, and in the great Dharma seminar.

It was presented and reported, and after being decreed, it was added to the list of languages. Thus, it was said. Furthermore, "Daśabhūmi" means the ten grounds. It becomes the basis for attaining the qualities of the higher grounds, and because that ground itself is the basis of qualities, it is called "ground." The first ground, Pramuditā, is so-called because one obtains a mind that transcends the world, with a great meaning never before experienced, and because one sees that one is close to enlightenment and accomplishing the benefit of many sentient beings, great joy arises, hence it is called the "Extremely Joyful" ground. The second ground, Vimalā, is so-called because even the slightest transgressions of moral discipline are purified, hence it is called the "Immaculate" ground. The third ground, Prabhākarī, is so-called because one obtains a completely purified aggregate of samādhi that transcends the grounds of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, becoming a place of great light of wisdom, hence it is called the "Illuminating" ground. The fourth ground, Arciṣmatī, is so-called because the afflictions are burned away, and the light of the fire of the aspects of enlightenment radiates, hence it is called the "Radiant" ground. The fifth ground, Sudurjayā, is so-called because, transcending the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, one cultivates the four noble truths, and the wisdom that does not abide in either saṃsāra or nirvāṇa is completely purified, and because cultivation is extremely difficult, it is called the "Extremely Difficult to Conquer," meaning difficult to subdue or difficult to accomplish, that is, extremely difficult to cultivate. The sixth ground, Abhimukhī, is so-called because, relying on the Prajñāpāramitā, one does not abide in either saṃsāra or nirvāṇa, and one dwells manifestly in the wisdom that spontaneously enters the signless, and one sees manifestly, hence it is called the "Manifest" ground. The seventh ground, Dūraṃgamā, is so-called because it is close to the path that has become one taste of entering the signless, and one has gone far, hence it is called the "Far-Going" ground. The eighth ground, Acalā, is so-called because it cannot be moved by either the perception of signs or the perception of striving for the signless, hence it is called the "Immovable" ground. The ninth ground, Sumatī, is so-called because one has attained individual perfect knowledge, and one's intelligence is superior to others, hence it is called the "Good Intelligence" ground. The tenth ground, Dharmameghā, is so-called because all dhāraṇīs and samādhis pervade like clouds, and the Dharma that is heard is like the sky, pervading like clouds, hence it is called the "Cloud of Dharma."
