Tsho la! May we and all sentient beings, until enlightenment, take refuge with single-pointed devotion! Repeat three times. HO! For all sentient beings who have been our mothers, may we accumulate virtue, restrain from misdeeds, and constantly generate the altruistic Bodhicitta, in order to attain the state of Buddhahood! Repeat three times. Again, visualizing ourselves and all others as numerous as dust particles, we prostrate, make offerings, and accumulate merit through the seven branches. Please recite: "As many as..." up to "...dedicate for enlightenment." Recite the seven branches three times or once. Then, in the Sutra of the Array of Immeasurable Light, it says: "Kungawo, any son or daughter of good family who thinks, 'Wouldn't it be wonderful to see the Tathagata Immeasurable Light in this very life?' should generate the unsurpassed, perfectly complete Bodhicitta. With a mind of heightened aspiration, they should direct their minds properly to be born in that Buddha-field, cultivate roots of virtue, and dedicate them completely." As such, taking the vow of Bodhicitta is definitely the main cause for purifying the Buddha-field completely. Join your palms and, with single-pointed intention, repeat the following three times: "Bhagavan, Tathagata..." up to "...do much benefit to sentient beings." Repeat three times according to the ritual of purifying the field. Generating Bodhicitta and making aspirations is the best of gains, so contemplate your own joy and lead others to contemplate joy. Repeat the following: "Today my life..." up to "...may gods and demigods and others rejoice." Recite once according to the ritual of purifying the field. Thus, relying on the purification of the mind, light radiates from the hearts of the Buddhas and their retinues, touching you all. In an instant, in the presence of the Bhagavan Immeasurable Light, in the stamen of a fully bloomed lotus, on a moon cushion, you are transformed into the form of Avalokiteshvara, planting the seeds of the cause and the habitual tendencies of the result of being born in the Sukhavati realm in your minds, making you vessels. From the hearts of the Tathagatas and their retinues, the assembly of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas
