From the great continent of Eastern Videha, renowned as the great Sthavira, Bharadvaja the alms-taker, together with all the retinue of one thousand Arhats, I request to come at this very moment! From the abode of the thirty-three gods, the great Shravaka Lamdren, together with a gathering of nine hundred Arhats, I request to come at this very moment! From the vast face of the king of mountains, the great Shravaka Naga Deva, may he come together with a retinue of one thousand two hundred Arhats! From the king of mountains, Bihu, the great Shravaka Bedje, may he come together with a retinue of one thousand four hundred Arhats! From the great snow mountain, the great Shravaka Mipema, together with a gathering of one thousand Arhats, I request to come at this very moment! From the great snow mountain Tise (Mount Kailash), the great Shravaka Yanlag Jung, may he come together with a retinue of one thousand three hundred Arhats! And Rajagriha, the place where the Niranjana River subdues demons, the vast Varanasi, Shravasti, the city of the gods, the holy places of the eight great stupas, the realms of the Thirty-three Gods, all places of residence and fame, and also the southern part of Jambudvipa, the shores of the sea and the Malay Mountains, the forests and hermitages, the banks of the Naramati River, the forests covering the Vindhya Mountains, and also the places full of flowers and fruits, trees and meadows and green fields, places where birds and wild animals dwell, delightful places to reside, and on the shores of the great ocean, where great dragons coil around their bodies, abiding in the samadhi of true cessation, with snake heads raised like umbrellas for protection, accomplishing all things and residing, and also where the Victorious Ones have set foot, the Arhats who have come to reside, possessing the feet of samadhi and miraculous powers, showing the aspect of long life, renowned by the name of Great Sthavira, great Shravakas, givers, and men and thinkers, sons of Naga protectors and the famous, and many hundreds of thousands of Arhats, together with their retinues, please come. The great thousandfold world and other small continents, and the hermitages, forests, and rivers of Jambudvipa, possessing lovely lotuses and fragrance, may the assembly of noble ones dwell therein. The Great Sthavira, endowed with the qualities of an Arhat, abides in the body of residual life activity, for the sake of sentient beings, contemplate with compassion, with whatever offerings are arranged by accumulating merit, for the sake of love, with loving-kindness and compassion, please come. Recite the complete passage three times, or recite the extended version once, and the five lines from "Great Sthavira" twice, and request them to listen. All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, the fire of wisdom burning, the ocean of afflictions drying up, those who abide in the field of liberation and merit, I invite the Shravaka Sangha of the ten directions to come, I invite you to the field of merit for offerings, for the benefit of sentient beings, I invite you to come with offerings. Shakyamuni, the protector of beings, into whose hands did he entrust the Buddha's teachings? The one who opens the treasure chest of the scriptures, the Dharma-protecting Great Arhat, please come, I invite you for the sake of spreading the sacred Dharma, for the benefit of sentient beings, I invite you to come for offerings, as commanded by the Sage.
