Therefore, it is necessary, and it would be good if all of these could be completed with the preliminary retreat beforehand. The retreat can be done in one room, or it can be done separately. In any case, it is necessary to gather together during the practice. Therefore, if the practice is done at the end of the retreat, it is enough to just replace the old offerings and tormas and rearrange them. If the retreat and practice are done separately, then arrange the supports and offerings and tormas as they were during the retreat. No fewer than four monastic communities with practice companions, abiding in the conduct of bathing and cleanliness, should enter the ritual. Secondly: the yoga of self-generation, contemplating the front-generation deity, reciting mantras, etc., should be done as described during the previous retreat. Because the offerings are abundant, it is said to make offerings. After making offerings with water, incense, and other offerings, and musical instruments, if you are happy and able, offer the seven precious things: To all the Sugatas, I offer this precious wheel jewel, may it cut off the wheel of samsara and turn the *Dharma wheel*. om sarva tathāgata ārya tārā saparivāra. Add this before "sparśe". Replace "wheel jewel" with "cakra ratna". pūja megha samudra spharaṇa samaye hūṃ Add this after "spang ge". To all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, I offer this precious jewel, may it cut off stinginess and poverty and perfectly possess wealth. maṇi ratna. I offer this precious queen, may it cut off the darkness of ignorance, realize the meaning of the realm of wisdom, and combine skillful means and wisdom. stri ratna. I offer this precious minister, may he possess the three vehicles of inner, outer, and secret, be good at holding the incomparable teachings, and possess all qualities. puruṣa ratna. I offer this precious elephant jewel, may it completely eliminate all wrong views, be good at riding the unsurpassed vehicle, and go to the city of all-knowing wisdom. hasti ratna. I offer this precious horse jewel, may it be completely liberated from the cage of samsara, obtain the power of supreme magical abilities, and travel to all Buddha lands. turaṃga aśva ratna. I offer this precious general jewel, may he conquer the enemy of afflictions, completely defeat the outsiders, and obtain the supreme position of fearlessness. khaḍga rat

Please accept it with compassion, for the benefit of beings. Having accepted it, either recite the name of the person being practiced for, or pray that the benefactor of the offering may quickly be liberated from the fear of prison, and be blessed with the happiness of body, speech, and mind. Recite thus, and along with scattering flowers, make offerings of a hundred or whatever is possible. Praise with the twenty-one praises to Tara. Make the seven-limb offering to the noble holy Tara, etc. Cutting off other speech, with single-pointed mind of praying for the desired purpose, together with the Dharma friends who are practicing, recite the mantra continuously without interruption. Food and drink, etc., should also be done in turns. After every hundred recitations of the mantra, make a brief offering, praise, and prayer as before. After every eight hundred recitations of the mantra, make an extensive praise. That is, recite the twenty-one praises to Tara seven times, etc., as much as possible, and in the end, also remember the benefits of praising, such as reverence for the goddess.
