Fourth, the unique path protection of Dakini: When going to a foreign land, upon leaving the house, take soil from under the left foot, recite the mantra twenty-one times, starting from the direction one is going, and scatter it in all directions, up and down. Visualize a single-edged iron sword, with its tip pointing towards the direction one is going from one's own place. Visualize oneself as the wisdom Dakini with a lion's face, and proceed while reciting this mantra. By doing so, one will not encounter any enemies or harmful beings, and even if encountered, they will not find an opportunity to harm. Fifth, the method of writing the protective knowledge: Smear red bodhicitta on paper. On each of the fourteen letters, write with interruption marks and strong punctuation. On top of that, smear with the blood from the little finger of a person born in the year of the Tiger. On top of that, smear white bodhicitta. Especially important are the letters for male, female, and hermaphrodite: Ma (Tibetan: མ), Ra (Tibetan: ར), Tsa (Tibetan: ཙ). Smear each of the three substances separately: bear bile, camphor, and musk, applying them in reverse order. It is not necessary to smear the others. Write this long mantra blessed by a thousand Buddhas, which has eighty-eight letters, without interruption marks, on paper, and it is not necessary to smear other substances. A secret mantra that destroys all enemies and obstacles. By wearing it on the body, no opposing force can stand. Moreover, the benefits are inconceivable. If this is recited twenty-one times every morning without fail, no opposing force can stand. If going to a place of evil spirits and demon cutting, recite twenty-one times on barley, scatter half in the direction of travel, and wear half around the neck, one will be liberated from evil spirits and demon cutting. If worn by animals, it will bind the mouths of robbers and predators. Sixth, to avert bad dreams: Face the foot of the bed. Recite this mantra a hundred or twenty-one times. Imagine that all the images of bad dreams are turned to ashes in the palms of your hands, which are as clear as the sun and moon, and clap your hands six times. Seventh, to perform a more powerful reversal: Face west. Spread a black cushion with the head and tail reversed. Wear black clothes with the head and tail and inside and outside reversed. Hang shoes with the toes tied together on the left shoulder. Place a hat with the inside and outside reversed and the head and tail reversed on the cushion. Meditate that you are in a high place.
