Therefore, merely completing this practice, if that person goes to the top of a high mountain, all sentient beings who see him will not be reborn in the lower realms. If he crosses a river, all sentient beings dwelling in that river, and all who drink that water, will not be reborn in the lower realms. It is said that those who are touched by his shadow, come into physical contact with him, and see him with their eyes will also not be reborn in the lower realms. So, if he teaches the Dharma, the great benefits that arise, what need is there to even mention it? Furthermore, it is said in the sutras that offering the Three Jewels with a world filled with seven precious substances is less meritorious than teaching a single four-line verse of the Buddha's Dharma to sentient beings. Therefore, remembering these things, one should always diligently and without懈怠show such profound Dharma to others. Here it is said: Washing away the stains of sin and transgression is the nectar of the heavens. The other shore of virtuous deeds, difficult to comprehend, is the edge of the sky. Seeing the face that pleases the noble ones is Adan. Leading to the top of the great bliss palace is the supreme goal. Whoever dwells in the desolate plains during fasting, the insignificant merit of that, compared to the path he borrows, the virtuous deeds accumulated over hundreds of kalpas transformed by the Makara banner are also insignificant. From just one well-composed ritual of learned texts, miracles arise that suit the minds of great, small, and intermediate individuals. To show that the unprecedented wisdom vajra is present here, it seems as if the sky is raising a lamp to illuminate everything. For those who wish to enter this great practice, accompanied by pure and undefiled intention, and the aspiration to attain common enlightenment with all sentient beings, on the mirror-like surface of the wisdom of the Thubwang (Shakyamuni Buddha), it will surely clearly appear that the end of the activity of being skilled in the Dharma is the path to the Pure Land of Bliss. May all auspicious and virtuous teachings always flourish! This is the ritual of the eleven-faced Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara practice and fasting, called "Purifying the Stains of Sin," written by the Bhikshuni Palmo. This ritual is a slight supplement to the ritual previously composed by Gyalse Thogme, according to the instructions of the Lama Vajradhara Zangpo Tashi, who suggested that supplements were needed. Later, due to some seekers in the teachings of Sangji Chöje Khyenrab Choklek, due to the lack of scriptures

I. In order to avoid the labor of proofreading, according to the strict order to arrange it in a readable form, taking the treatise of the Bhikshuni Palmo and the above-mentioned ritual itself as the main focus, adding the necessary supplements from the excellent explanations written by those who have become the standard for this Dharma, such as Ewam-pa Je Kunkhyen Pelden, Jatang Kunga Chokden, and Kunga Lungrikpa. In the lineage where the teachings of the Second Buddha, the venerable Ewam-pa, have become the standard, in order to cultivate only a little bit of learning, in the year when Tibetans wish to renounce, on the auspicious day when the liberating goddess is born, the fish is completely filled with the white auspicious month, and the stars are complete, it is written in the direction of the royal family of Dege Lhundrub Teng (Dege Printing House), may it benefit all beings! Thus, the second victor of the northern part of Jambudvipa, the incarnation of the great Abbot Bodhisattva Shantarakshita, Zhuchen Mahapandita Tsultrim Rinchen's fasting ritual, etc., including all the necessary kinds, are all included and completed by reading. As the wish of the guide, the supreme Lama Kunga Chokyi Wangpo, may the virtue written by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo cause all sentient beings in the vast expanse of space to be born in the pure land of Sukhavati, transformed in the heart of a lotus, and quickly attain the state of the noble Avalokiteshvara. Praying to the lineage masters of the Eleven-Faced Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara empowerment, called the chariot that draws the blessings of the lineage. Namo Maha Karunikaya. Khas Tsun Kunga Lek! To Buddha Puntsok Sonam Zangpo, Namkha Samdrub Kunga Lodro Shab, To Namkha Chime and others, I pray. Kunga Tenzin Jampal Zangpo and, The noble one, the one with the activities of the lotus hand, To the kind and extraordinary lamas here, To the direct and indirect lamas, I pray. May the lamas and the supreme deities, With great wisdom, love, and power, look upon us, With the diligence of realizing the uncertainty of death, Bless us to be able to practice the Dharma with effort. Taking refuge in the Three Jewels from the heart, With the wisdom to liberate beings from samsara, The causes and conditions for attaining enlightenment, Deep and vast, may they be quickly perfected in my mindstream. Possessing eleven faces and a thousand eyes, The body with a thousand hands that sees clearly, By meditating well on appearance and emptiness like the moon in water, May I attain the body adorned with signs and marks. Just by reciting, a stream of immeasurable merit, The profound secret mantra, the speech of the noble ones, By reciting diligently, like the sound of echoes in a valley, May I attain the supreme speech of sixty qualities. Although completely separated from all elaborations, thoughts, and signs, The mind of the noble ones who spontaneously accomplish seeing all dharmas, By abiding in the equality of awareness and emptiness, inseparable like space, May I attain the wisdom of seeing all. By purifying the activities of recitation and so on, May I accomplish well for the benefit of limitless beings, Ultimately, with the activity of taming each according to their needs, May I fulfill the wishes of all sentient beings. In the succession of births before attaining that, After relying on the holy ones with leisure and endowments, Enjoying the profound and vast Dharma, May I accomplish the activities that please the Buddhas. By the compassion of the direct and indirect lamas, And the blessings of the infallible Three Jewels, And the power of the ocean of Dharma protectors and oath-bound ones, May all that is prayed for be accomplished according to the Dharma, may there be auspiciousness! Thus, this prayer to the lineage of the eleven-faced Avalokiteshvara lamas, called "The Chariot for Drawing Down the Blessings of the Lineage," was written by the monk Tsultrim Rinchen at the urging of the great lama Sonam Gyal, a yogi who has faith in this path.
