Xiawa Nur, Nyima Woser, Jinpa Lochen, and other three great virtuous ones, as well as the successors of Jowo (Atisha) and Rinsang, the one who finally promoted and expanded them was the omniscient Buton Rinchen Drub, this尊is the second Buddha in the degenerate age. Water vase empowerment, maturing one's own continuum with empowerments including ornaments, etc., placing seed syllables in the heart of the visualized deity in front, obtaining accomplishments like a lord, is the order of the path of the Action Tantra. On top of the empowerments of the Action Tantra, after maturing with the empowerment of the vajra bell, placing seed syllables in the hearts of both oneself and the visualized deity in front, obtaining accomplishments like a friend, is the order of the path of the Performance Tantra. Such pioneers of the chariot tracks of Action and Performance, the teacher Bodhisattva Supreme for the Action Tantra, and the teacher Buddha Secret for the Performance Tantra, have complete and perfect explanations. In this land of snow, for the Action and Performance Tantras, there have been countless holders of the wonderful explanation lineage, such as Lama Bari Lotsawa Rinchen Drak. Also in India, later Jowo Dznyanashri and Punyashri were said to be very learned, in Tibet, there were Stengba Lotsawa Tsultrim Jungne, Bari Lotsawa Rinchen Drak, etc., and later relying on the intention and diligence of Shabakton Zhonnu Tsultrim, including the tantras residing in the monastery, almost all of the Buddha's teachings possessed complete transmissions. In the sacred land and among the snowy mountains, the practices of both Sutra and Tantra were not confused, they were the teachings explained by previous great scholars, and were the intentions of all Buddhas of the past, present, and future. However, in this northern land of snow, for erroneous treatises and pure tantras, many people diligently listened with strong biases, and claimed to be scholars who lectured to others. Some people were intoxicated by the wine of desire for fame, and had many wrong views of debating and refuting the Buddha's teachings, the translated tantras, oral instructions, and standard treatises, as well as the translators Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, Vairochana, and other wise ones who translated them. Some people, with their self-created practices, destroyed the teachings explained by previous great scholars into the expanse of the invisible sky.

From then on, countless sectarian stars of self-interest emerged. The tradition of the great secret tantras and the chariot paths of Madhyamaka and Cittamatra, the two traditions of Nagarjuna's Prasangika and Svatantrika, for those unparalleled teachings that were well explained, most were explained in a distorted way. Those scholars who explain according to the standard texts, upholding the teachings of the previous scholars, when holding the Buddhadharma through teaching, debate, and writing, then two teachings of the omniscient Gyalwa arose. Those who boast of holding the hearing and teaching of the Buddhadharma, for the sake of destroying other doctrines and establishing their own, with unfounded flowery words, disturb the Buddhadharma with arguments that elevate their own side. Some abandon the words and commentaries of the Buddha, and the hearing and teaching of the standard texts, indulging in hearing and teaching the texts they have arbitrarily composed, wasting their lives, which is truly pitiful. They focus on the fame and gain of this life, with slander of others, jealousy, and competitive minds, whether they practice themselves or teach others, the actions of body, speech, and mind are mostly meaningless. Therefore, intelligent students, should fully understand the differences between their own and others' doctrines, strive to study the teachings explained by the previous scholars, and through diligent reflection, reach the highest level of hearing. After mastering the hearing and thinking of various disciplines, in order to make the heard teachings meaningful, one should diligently engage in meditation practice, and mature one's mind in a secluded place. When one's mind is matured, in the midst of many sanghas, with pure texts and unobstructed confidence, through the three actions of scholars of debate and writing, focus wholeheartedly on propagating the Buddhadharma. Teaching is the nectar that nourishes the ears, the sound of the gods; fearless confidence is an inexhaustible river; writing is the magnificent palace that adorns the Buddhadharma. One should teach others with these three. Including necessity, brevity, words, meaning demarcation, combination of questions and answers, etc., be proficient in establishing and refuting, and removing thorns. The eight aspects of sound are as stated: sound, language, name, and sign, symbol, term, word, and meaning, these eight aspects. Among them, sound refers to the sound that can be heard, which can be shown to sentient beings. Language refers to the four languages such as Sanskrit. Name refers to the combination of letters according to the rules of convention, and the combination of root and suffix through grammar.
