There was no other hope. Quickly drive the chariot with the light of the wheel! Having said this, it was tied to the neck of a crow and sent off. A crow landed in front of Nāgārjuna's door, on top of the offering platform, and made a loud noise. The attendant Ghaṇṭi secretly observed, and then reported to the teacher. The teacher caught the crow, opened the letter, and read it. He then commanded the six thousand paṇḍitas residing on Śrīparvata: Nālandā and other places have been seized by the heretics, and they must go there tomorrow morning. That night, most of the heretics dreamed of paying homage to the objects of refuge (dKon mChog). Some dreamed of the sun setting, some dreamed of Nāgārjuna having his hair and beard shaved, and all the Vedic scriptures of Magadha being burned. The next morning, they will perform reversal rituals. Then, the paṇḍitas Āryadeva, Candrakīrti, three hundred thousand paṇḍitas, Śāntarakṣita, Guṇamati, and other hundreds of thousands of paṇḍitas formed a golden row, spreading three yojanas. They wore robes like Kashmiri saffron, carried a begging bowl and a fly-whisk each, and wore humble paṇḍita hats. Their appearance was as peaceful and subdued as a yoke, and the great Nāgārjuna was invited onto a chariot and approached Nālandā. The heretics sensed this and mostly fled on their own, while others were happy to flee. Those who remained were all mentally disturbed. Then, when they arrived at Nālandā, rainbows and showers of flowers fell, and most of the heretics naturally gained faith. The next morning, the sound of debate arose, and all the paṇḍitas, both internal and external, gathered. The teacher and Magadha began to debate, and the mouth of the heretical teacher was silenced. A parrot said, "The Buddha is not true, the Dharma is not true, the Sangha is not true." The teacher snapped his fingers, and as he clapped his hands, a crow came and killed the parrot. Then, according to the tradition of cursing with a stone slab by Magadha, he said, as before, "The Buddha is not true," and prepared to move the stone. But due to the blessings of the noble one, the stone could not be moved. In any case, Nāgārjuna was victorious. Now they began to compete in magical powers, and when they were about to perform magical feats

He lost the power of miracles. During debates, the non-Buddhists were silenced and unable to speak. After being defeated in many debates, Nagarjuna said, "You evil opponents, will you enter or not enter my doctrine? If you enter, I will entrust you to the Dharma protectors." Those who were not deluded entered the Dharma, and those who were deluded wanted to fly into the sky, like a bird losing its wings, overwhelmed by sorrow. They went to the monastery, thinking, "Now I will die here." As they untied the ropes of the scriptures, a page appeared with the writing, "If you end your own life, you will not be liberated from the three lower realms." Then, they shaved their hair and beards in front of the holy one and, after ordaining, became known as the Pandit Hero. He greatly propagated the Buddha's teachings. After that, King Good Conduct invited him, and while he was staying there, the holy one's beautiful form caused all the women, especially the king's consort, to fall in love with him. Some time later, the king went with his entourage to the place of Shataka, and afterwards, the consort said to the teacher, "You possess a supreme and rare beautiful form in the three realms. You have a compassionate heart, caring for all sentient beings. I am tormented by the suffering of desire, now please save me from this unbearable suffering." The holy one said, "Lord of the land, king, precious consort, to a lama like a second Buddha, I have taken the ocean of nectar of the three vows, how could I do reckless and immoral things?" Having said this, he wrote these words on the door: "When there is no robbing of merchants, there is no need to search when thieves return. When there is no poisonous woman, there is no need to search for the root of recklessness. An unfriendly body, throat, and chin, it is best to fly away." As he was walking on the road to Glorious Mountain, a blacksmith asked him to help lift a canopy, at which time the blacksmith's gold was lost, and he blamed the holy one. The holy one said, "I have not stolen the blacksmith's gold, nor have I generated a mind of desire for the king's important consort, this stone will turn into gold." Having said this, he struck the stone with his staff, and the stone turned into gold. The blacksmith was very happy, and as he turned the stone, he saw the lost gold appear at his feet, the blacksmith
