The venerable one. At the age of twenty-five, he entered retreat at the foot of Tare Mountain. At the age of twenty-seven, it seemed that some local deities from the Lithang area appeared to pay their respects and offer services. So he went to that area and established the tradition of teaching the Nyingthig doctrine at Tsangme Senge Monastery. He went to the red rock mountain Tagtra in Tsangrong and bestowed the empowerment and transmission of some newly discovered treasures, such as Gyatrul Phurba and Norgyunma, to Drakda Terton Karma and others. That Terton also offered all his revealed treasures to him and enthroned him as the master of the Dharma. At the age of twenty-eight, the Wisdom Mother appeared to him at Yukhark Monastery and said, "I entrust this earring to you. You are enthroned as the master of the Dharma throne of Yu." The next day, Choktrul Pema, said, "It is time for you to go to U-Tsang, and you must serve as the Khenpo of the summer retreat." When this was reported to Gyatrul Rinpoche, he said, "This is the accomplishment of the Wisdom Mother, one of the four kinds of faith, so do it." There, Rigdzin Lungrik Lingpa took him under his care with a wisdom illusory body, and gave him all his treasure teachings in the form of wooden boxes and yellow scrolls, and sealed them with entrustment.
