He is able to manifestly display the signs of accomplishment through the object taken. Dorje Drak Padma Trin considers him to be a mantra holder. With mere intention, he possesses the miraculous power to hurl great thunderbolts of fierce iron like arrows. He became the pure heart-son of the Great Teacher, and is a great yogic master who has dominion over the ocean-like Dharma of secret mantras. His lineage is the father of Black Horse Tara, which still exists today. La-gsum Gyalwa Jangchub was one of the seven who were known as the 'Seven Tested Men'. He took ordination and full ordination from Khenchen Zhiwa Tsho (Śāntarakṣita). Being knowledgeable in translation, he went to India many times and translated the Dharma of Sutra and Tantra. He was a great scholar (Vol. 1, p. 273) who had reached the other shore of vast learning. In the Great History, it is said, "Among the greatest of learners was La-gsum Jangchub Gyal," and he seems to be counted among the nine eminent ones. Having requested empowerment and instructions from the Great Teacher, he was a great accomplished master who could demonstrate miracles such as sitting in full lotus posture in the ungrounded sky. Thus, although they are commonly known as the Twenty-Five King and Subjects, there have been some differences in recognition in the past, which have cleared away impure confusions. Although the Northern Lord Wangpo's group has distinguished them with the whetstone of wisdom, it seems difficult to differentiate the bases, but those who are widely known are as such, and there is no need to elaborate. However, for some, there have been various inconsistencies in history and writings, etc. Here, the focus is on the ones with the most consistency, but some still remain doubtful, so it is worth investigating. In addition, twenty-one accomplished ones appeared when the precious teacher's direct disciples were subduing the earth at Samye. And those who attained the rainbow body in Yerpa, Chuwo Ri, and Chimpu mentioned above. Also, according to some historical accounts, there were seventeen yoginis including Mar Kongza, thirty-five great accomplished ones including Palgyi Yeshe in Chuwo Ri, and one hundred and seven great accomplished ones including Nyang Tingdzin Zangpo in Yerpa. All of them passed away into the rainbow body. Not only that, but it seems that there were countless direct disciples of the Teacher, such as Ames Jangchub Drekhol and Gyu mentioned above.

I, Chub Shyönnu. Rokben Namkhai Yeshe. Nyang Tatagata. Nyang Chok Rab Shyönnu. Phang Je Tsen Trom. Sha Mi Gocha. Langbu Sewo. And Ngomse Ong, the devotee who uprooted a juniper tree, carried it, and erected it as a pillar in Tsentang Lhakhang. Ngabmi Jangchub Gyaltsen. Ngam Dre Atsara Sala. Ngabmi Chen Tsor of Yarlung Mön Tro. Je Gyamtso Drak. Dre Sherab Drakpa. Khön Lotsawa Ludwang Sung, etc. Almost all the scholars and siddhas of Tibet, and all the great ancestors of the great and small, were direct disciples of Guru Rinpoche. From the Dharma and lineage blessed by those accomplished ones, later scholars and siddhas also emerged. It is appropriate to add here that some scholars say that the great translators of the later dissemination of the doctrine, Rinchen Zangpo, Ngok Lo, and Khro Lo Jampai Pal, possess both wisdom and activity that cannot be matched even by combining all the previous translators. However, it seems a bit harsh to say that. Their wisdom does not seem to surpass that of Rong Zomchen, Vairocana, etc. When Ngok Lo began to translate the Great Commentary on the Abhidharma, he was amazed by Vairocana's intellect and said: "Vairocana is equal to the expanse of the sky. Ka and Chok, the two, are like the sun and moon shining together. Rinchen Zangpo is like the great star at dawn. We are like fireflies." (Upper Volume, 275) He secretly praised them after realizing that their wisdom was unmatched. The ancient translator Thönmi Sambhota, who first created the Tibetan script and terminology, his wisdom and kindness alone are beyond comprehension, and no later translator or pandit can compare to him. The Three Protectors became the standard. Similarly, the great translator Vairocana and Ka Chok, etc., established the rules of the language of Dharma, such as the system of Vyakarana (Sanskrit: व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa, grammar), and the Tibetan terminology that was very difficult to match, during the time of Trisong Detsen, through a great decree, as is clear in the two volumes of Grammar, etc. Because they made the difference between creating something new where there was no path and making the path easy to travel, Jamyang Khyenpait also said: "The tradition of the Sugata is supreme."
