It should be taught that the Dharma (chös, Sanskrit: dharma, Romanized Sanskrit: dharma, meaning: law/teachings) should not be explained to someone holding weapons or wearing armor. It should be taught not to urinate while standing. It should be taught not to urinate or defecate in water, nor to spit, blow one's nose, vomit, or discard leftovers. It should be taught not to urinate or defecate, spit, blow one's nose, vomit, or discard leftovers on ground where blue roots are present. Unless there is danger, it should be taught not to climb a tree higher than one's own height. Venerable ones, I have recited many teachings that should be learned. Now I ask you, venerable ones: 'Are you clear on this?' I will ask again and again, two or three times: 'Are you clear on this?' If you, venerable ones, are clear on this, then remain silent, and it will be taken as acceptance. The seven ways to settle disputes: Verse: Present mindfulness, non-confusion, likewise, the nature of the majority, Like scattering grass, so too should promises be made. Venerable ones, these seven ways to settle disputes come from the recitation of the Pratimoksha Sutra every half-month. To one who should be disciplined by presence, give discipline by presence; to one who should be disciplined by mindfulness, give discipline by mindfulness; to one who should be disciplined by non-confusion, give discipline by non-confusion; to one who should be given many rulings, give many rulings; to one who should have their own nature investigated, give investigation of their own nature; to one who should be like scattering grass, give like scattering grass; to one who should make a promise, so should a promise be made. For those disputes that have arisen, they should be disciplined, pacified, and completely pacified by these seven ways to settle disputes, according to the Dharma, the Vinaya, and the teachings of the Teacher. Venerable ones, I have finished the seven ways to settle disputes. Now I ask you, venerable ones: 'Are you clear on this?' I will ask again and again, two or three times: 'Are you clear on this?' If you, venerable ones, are clear on this, then remain silent, and it will be taken as acceptance. Venerable ones, I have recited the four beginnings of the Pratimoksha Sutra: the four Parajika Dharmas, the thirteen Sanghavasesa Dharmas, the two Aniyata Dharmas, the thirty Nissaggiya Pacittiya Dharmas, and many Pacittiya Dharmas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The ninety precepts, the four Dharmas of confession, the many Dharmas of training, and the seven Dharmas for pacifying disputes have all been expounded. These are the contents included and summarized in the Sutras of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One. For other Dharmas that are in accordance with the Dharma from other sources, you should also cultivate them with desire, harmony, joy, and without contention, with mindfulness and diligence. Patience is the highest asceticism, and the Buddha said that patience is the supreme Dharma for attaining Nirvana. A renunciant should not harm others, nor should they cause distress to others; this is the true practitioner. Beings with eyes who can see things should avoid danger. The wise live in this world and should completely abandon evil. Do not slander, do not harm, strictly observe the Pratimoksha vows, be moderate in eating, dwell in secluded places, and dedicate yourself to higher consciousness. This is the teaching of the Buddhas. Just as a bee collects honey from a flower without harming its color or fragrance, and flies away after collecting the honey, so should a practitioner walk in the villages. I should observe whether my own behavior is in accordance with the Dharma, rather than observing the faults of others, and what others have done or not done. One should diligently cultivate higher consciousness and learn the basis of liberation taught by the Buddha. The protector who has attained peace and is always mindful is the Nirvana without sorrow. Giving increases merit, and good discipline prevents enemies from harming you. Doing good avoids evil, and the cessation of afflictions leads to Nirvana. Do not do any evil deeds, perfectly practice all good deeds, and tame your own mind. This is the teaching of the Buddhas. Body restraint is good, speech restraint is also good, mind restraint is also good, and it is good to guard oneself in all places. A Bhikshu who guards everything is liberated from all suffering. Guard your speech, strictly restrain your mind, and do not do unwholesome deeds with your body. If you diligently practice these three paths of action, you will attain the path of liberation spoken by the sages. Vipassi (all-seeing), Sikhi (topknot), Vessabhu (all-savior), Kakusandha (destruction of samsara), Konagamana (golden tranquility), Kassapa (light-drinker), and Sakyamuni (able sage) Gotama, are the gods among gods, the incomparable tamer of beings, the protector of the world, and the great savior. The Pratimoksha vows of these seven Buddhas are widely proclaimed here. Regarding these teachings, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
