རྒྱས་རྣམས་དང་གང་། །སངས་རྒྱས་ཉན་ཐོས་རྣམས་ཀྱང་གུས། །འདི་ལ་གུས་དང་བཅས་གྱུར་པས། །འདུས་མ་བྱས་པ་ཐོབ་པར་གྱིས། །བརྩམ་པར་བྱ་ཞིང་དབྱུང་བར་བྱ། །སངས་རྒྱས་བསྟན་ལ་ འཇུག་པར་བྱ། །འདམ་བུའི་ཁྱིམ་ན་གླང་ཆེན་བཞིན། །འཆི་བདག་སྡེ་ནི་གཞོམ་པར་བྱ། །གང་ཞིག་རབ་ཏུ་བག་ཡོད་པར། །ཆོས་འདུལ་འདི་ལ་སྤྱོད་འགྱུར་བ། །སྐྱེ་བའི་འཁོར་བ་རབ་སྤངས་ནས། །སྡུག་བསྔལ་ ཐ་མར་བྱེད་པར་འགྱུར། །ཕན་ཚུན་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་བསྲུང་བ་དང་། །བསྟན་པ་འཕེལ་བར་བྱ་བའི་ཕྱིར། །སོ་སོར་ཐར་པ་འདི་བཏོན་པས། །དགེ་འདུན་གྱིས་ནི་གསོ་སྦྱོང་བྱས། །གང་གི་ཕྱིར་ནི་མདོ་བཏོན་དང་། ། གང་ཕྱིར་གསོ་སྦྱོང་བྱས་གྱུར་པ། །ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་དེ་ནི་བསྲུང་བྱ་སྟེ། །གཡག་རྔའི་རྩེ་མོ་ཇི་བཞིན་ནོ། །སོ་སོར་ཐར་པ་བཏོན་པ་ཡི། །བསོད་ནམས་གྲུབ་པ་གང་ཡོད་པ། །དེས་ནི་འཇིག་རྟེན་མ་ལུས་པ། ། 2-1227 ཐུབ་དབང་གོ་འཕང་ཐོབ་པར་ཤོག །སོ་སོར་ཐར་པའི་མདོ་རྫོགས་སོ། །དབང་ཕྱུག་དམ་པའི་མངའ་བདག་དཔལ་ལྷ་བཙན་པོའི་བཀའ་ལུང་གིས་འཕགས་པ་གཞི་ཐམས་ཅད་ཡོད་པར་སྨྲ་བའི་འདུལ་བ་འཛིན་པ་ སློབ་དཔོན་ཛི་ན་མི་ཏྲ་དང་། ཞུས་ཆེན་གྱི་ལོ་ཙཱ་བ་བནྡེ་ཅོག་རོ་ཀླུའི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་གྱིས་བསྒྱུར་ཅིང་ཞུས་ཏེ་གཏན་ལ་ཕབ་པའོ།།

诸佛以及所有声闻弟子，都应恭敬。以恭敬之心对待此（戒律），便能获得无为之果。应当精进努力，进入佛陀的教法之中。如同大象摧毁茅草屋，摧毁死主的军队。无论谁谨慎地奉行这法与律，都能彻底摆脱轮回，最终止息痛苦。 为了彼此守护戒律，为了弘扬佛法，宣讲此别解脱经，僧团应行布萨。为何宣讲此经？为何举行布萨？为了守护戒律，如同守护牦牛尾巴的顶端。宣讲别解脱经所获得的功德，愿以此功德，使所有世间众生，都能获得能仁（释迦牟尼佛）的果位。别解脱经圆满。 由殊胜自在者吉祥拉尊（藏王名号）的命令，由圣一切有部持律论师吉那弥扎（梵：Jinamitra）和校勘译师班智达觉若·卢嘉参（藏：Cog ro Klu'i rgyal mtshan）翻译、校勘并最终确定。

May all the Buddhas and all the Shravakas (listeners) be respected. By being respectful to this (discipline), may you attain the unconditioned state. One should strive and exert oneself to enter the Buddha's teachings. Just as an elephant destroys a house of reeds, so should one destroy the army of the Lord of Death. Whoever diligently practices this Dharma and Discipline will completely abandon the cycle of rebirth and ultimately put an end to suffering. For the sake of protecting the precepts with each other, and for the sake of propagating the teachings, this Pratimoksha Sutra is recited, and the Sangha should perform the Uposatha (observance). Why is this Sutra recited? Why is the Uposatha performed? It is to protect the precepts, just like protecting the tip of a yak's tail. Whatever merit is obtained from reciting the Pratimoksha Sutra, may all beings in the world, through this merit, attain the state of the Sage (Shakyamuni Buddha). The Pratimoksha Sutra is complete. By the command of the glorious Lhatsenpo (Tibetan king's title), the supreme sovereign, (this text) was translated, collated, and finalized by the venerable Jinamitra (梵: Jinamitra), a master of the Vinaya (discipline) of the Sarvastivada school, and the revising translator, the venerable Cog ro Klu'i rgyal mtshan. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
