At that time, in a single instant of wisdom, through acts of generosity and so on, all phenomena exist as if in a dream, and all phenomena are without inherent existence. A single instant realizes it. Just as a dream and the appearance of that dream are not seen as two separate things, so too, phenomena are without duality, and that very reality is seen in a single instant. This is the seventh chapter of the treatise on the Ornament of Clear Realization, which is the instruction on the Prajnaparamita. Chapter Eight The Svabhavikakaya (Essence Body) of the Buddha is the nature of all uncontaminated dharmas that have been attained, possessing all kinds of completely pure qualities. These qualities have their own characteristics. They include the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the four immeasurables, the eight liberations, the nine successive absorptions, the ten all-pervading spheres, the eight victories, the absence of conflict, the knowledge of aspirations, the four analytical knowledges, the four kinds of complete purity, the ten powers, the ten strengths, the four fearlessnesses, the three unguardeds, the three close placements of mindfulness, the nature of never forgetting, the complete destruction of habitual tendencies, the great compassion for beings, and the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha alone. All these are the complete and perfect enlightenment, which is called the Dharmakaya (Dharma Body). The view of the Sravaka (Hearer) is without afflictions, completely abandoning afflictions. In towns and so on, their afflictions are completely eradicated, which is the Victorious One's freedom from afflictions. The Buddha's knowledge from aspiration is spontaneously accomplished, free from attachment, without obstruction, eternally abiding, and willing to answer all questions. When the cause is fully ripened, whatever is beneficial to whomever, wherever, and whenever, that will appear. Just as the king of gods may send down rain, but unsuitable seeds will not sprout. Similarly, even if the Buddhas appear, those without fortune will not experience goodness. Therefore, due to the Buddha's vast activity, the Buddha is definitely said to be all-pervading. And for that very reason, the Buddha is also said to be eternal. The thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks are for the sake of the enjoyment of the Mahayana (Great Vehicle), therefore the Buddha is considered to be the Sambhogakaya (Enjoyment Body). The Buddha's feet have the mark of a wheel, feet like a tortoise's back, fingers and toes connected by webbing, and hands and feet that are soft and youthful. His body has seven high points, long fingers, and heels... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
