If pure morality flourishes in the field, the fruits of enjoyment will never be exhausted. Śrāvakas (hearers), Pratyekabuddhas (solitary realizers), those who are certain of self-awakening, and the sons of the Buddhas, all attain goodness through pure morality. There is no cause for higher realms other than morality, just as the ocean is always with saltiness, and auspiciousness is accompanied by the black-eared woman. Thus, the great being governed by pure morality does not wish to dwell with the immoral. With what, towards what, and from what does one abandon? If there is attachment to these three, this morality, is said to be the other shore of the world. Non-attachment to the three is transcendence of the world. The Buddha-child, like the moon, born of the glory of existence or non-existence, is stainless and without blemish, like the autumn moonlight, it alleviates the suffering in the minds of beings. Commentary on the Middle Way: End of the Second Generation of Bodhicitta. Third Generation of Bodhicitta To burn all knowable firewood, the fire emits light, so this third ground, can emit light, at that time like the sun, showing the light of red copper. Suppose that due to disturbances in the right place, his body, together with flesh and bones, for a long time, being cut off inch by inch, but his patience, only increases and does not decrease. For the Bodhisattva who realizes selflessness, who cuts what with what at what time and how? Because he sees all dharmas as images, he can also endure. If one is angry at him for harming him, can hating what has already been done be undone? Therefore, hating him is certainly meaningless, and the next life will also be contrary. The result of previous unwholesome actions, wanting to exhaust it, but suffering from hating others, how can it lead to the extinction of the seed? Why? Because of anger towards the Buddha-child, the roots of virtue arising from giving and keeping precepts, accumulated over hundreds of kalpas, are destroyed in an instant, so there is no sin greater than impatience. Making people look ugly, being disrespectful, taking away the discernment of right and wrong, impatience quickly throws people into evil destinies. Patience can achieve the opposite of the aforementioned merits. Patience makes people dignified, respected, proficient in right and wrong, becoming wise, the birth of gods and men and sin --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

will cease. Whether it is an ordinary person or a Bodhisattva, one should understand the faults and merits of anger and patience. Abandoning what cannot be tolerated, the noble one should always quickly cultivate the praised patience. Even if dedicating for perfect enlightenment, if there are three fixations, it is still worldly. If there is no fixation, then the Buddha taught it as the transcendent pāramitā (paramita). On this ground, the Bodhisattva's meditation, supernormal powers, and desire and hatred will completely cease. Even so, he can still destroy the desire of worldly people. Giving and other three dharmas, the Sugata mostly praises to householders. These are also the accumulation called merit. It is the nature of the Buddha's form body, the cause of the Dharma body. Like the prince dwelling in the sun, first correctly eliminating one's own darkness, and then manifesting to destroy the darkness of beings. On this ground, even if becoming very sharp, one will not become angry. In the 'Entering the Middle Way', the third chapter on the generation of Bodhicitta ends. The fourth chapter on the generation of Bodhicitta All qualities follow diligence, merit and wisdom are the cause of the two accumulations. Where diligence blazes, that fourth ground is where light shines. There, for the Sugata's son, perfect enlightenment, arising from cultivating the excellent aspects of enlightenment, surpasses the light of copper, and the attachment related to self-view completely ceases. In the 'Entering the Middle Way', the fourth chapter on the generation of Bodhicitta ends. The fifth chapter on the generation of Bodhicitta The great self, even attacked by all the Maras, cannot be defeated on the ground that is difficult to tame. Meditation is excellent, wisdom is good, it is the true nature, and one becomes very skilled at subtle understanding. In the 'Entering the Middle Way', the fifth chapter on the generation of Bodhicitta ends. The sixth chapter on the generation of Bodhicitta The mind abides in equanimity, tending towards manifestation, tending towards the teachings of the perfect Buddha, here seeing the suchness of dependent arising, by abiding in wisdom, one attains cessation. Just as a group of blind people is easily led by a sighted person to the place they desire, similarly, here, wisdom takes the qualities of the eye faculty and goes to victory itself. Just as he understands the profound Dharma through scripture and other reasoning, therefore, one should speak according to the way that the noble Nagarjuna's school abides. Even in the stage of ordinary beings, hearing emptiness -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ནས། །ནང་དུ་
