Entrust to that. Thus it is said. When extraordinary wisdom arises in the continuum, recognize the deception of the demons. When fearless conduct bursts forth, recognize the entrance of wisdom. As it is said.

The four great confidences that do not change demonstrate the extent of irreversible wisdom. That is, because one understands that it is impossible to experience happiness and suffering on the basis of one's own awareness being primordially unconfused, one has the confidence of not fearing or doubting falling into the lower realms even when hearing of the suffering and lifespans of the six realms. Because one understands that samsara is not even established in name, one has the confidence of not hoping or fearing to experience the ripening of cause and effect. Because one understands that confusion and liberation are impossible in the nature of reality, one has the confidence of not hoping for or striving for the fruit of grasping at something to be obtained. Because one understands that there is not even a particle of a Buddha separate from one's own awareness, and because one has arrived at that nature, even when hearing of the immeasurable qualities of the Three Jewels, one has the confidence of purifying attachment and joy and sorrow into equality. These four aspects bring it to fruition and complete the practice. Thus, the necessity of the four supports is also: In the tantra, it says, "Temporarily, one's own affairs are accomplished separately, and ultimately, the realization of the superior qualities becomes complete." And that without them, completion is not possible is also stated in the tantra: "Through the instructions of the supports, the superior qualities reach their limit." And, "Without the support of the key points of the supports, the practice of Dzogchen will not reach its limit." Explanation of how the fruit is liberated. Common ways of liberation. Third, explaining the way of liberation of the fruit, there are two ways: common and special. First, there are three common ways of liberation. The way of mastering the bhumis: The Rangshar says: "The term 'bhumi' does not exist separately, but all the bhumis are perfectly present in one who sees the truth. That is, when the person who has been shown the introduction first sees the truth, the joy that arises in him is the first bhumi, the Most Joyful. Knowing that it is one's own appearance is the second bhumi, the Immaculate. Then, becoming accustomed to it is the attainment of the third bhumi, the Illuminating. Then, having become accustomed to it, seeing the appearance of light is the mastering of the fourth bhumi, the Radiant. By seeing the appearance of wisdom, becoming accustomed to it, all defilements are naturally purified, and seeing wisdom, this is the mastering of the fifth bhumi, the Difficult to Conquer. Then, when seeing the body that has transcended light, it is the mastering of the sixth bhumi, the Manifest. Then,

After the exhaustion of afflictions, the seventh bhumi, the Distant Going Ground, is attained. Then, in that state, the qualities are perfected, and the eighth bhumi, the Immovable Ground, is attained. Then, abiding unshakeably in that quality, the ninth bhumi, the Ground of Good Intelligence, is attained. Then, in the light of wisdom, knowledge is grasped, and the light fully arises, seeing it like a cloud of dharma, the tenth bhumi, the Cloud of Dharma Ground, is attained. This is attaining the truth of the individual, attained without abandoning this breath. For individuals who have abandoned their breath, it is attained in this way. When delusion ceases and the appearance of a cluster of light arises, the eleventh bhumi, the Ground of Universal Light, is attained. Moreover, without attachment to that appearance, without being defiled by all internal and external dharmas, the twelfth bhumi, the Ground of the Unattached Lotus, is attained. From one's own heart, rays of wisdom shoot forth, and from the expanse of the sky, a cluster of five lights abides in the manner of a wheel, the thirteenth bhumi, the Ground of the Great Assembly of the Wheel of Letters, is attained. Then, abiding in the light of wisdom, the fourteenth bhumi, the Ground of Great Bliss, is attained. Then, finding certainty in the spontaneously accomplished ground, the fifteenth bhumi, the Ground of Samadhi, is attained. Then, on the ground of primordial purity, wisdom fully arises, and there is nothing else above it, the sixteenth bhumi, the Ground of the Wisdom Guru, is attained. Thus it is said. In the "Vast Clarity" it says: "By the individual who sees the truth, from the first bhumi to the sixteenth, it arises by practicing in sequence. This is the way to obtain the qualities and fruits of the temporary state that accords with others." As it is said, thus, those truth-seeing yogis who are endowed with great diligence, from the first direct seeing of the truth of dharmata, from the first bhumi, the Utterly Joyful, to the sixteenth bhumi, the Wisdom Guru, proceed in sequence. The way to attain Buddhahood is to attain Buddhahood in common, that is, to attain manifest Buddhahood together with the remaining aggregates. The way the signs appear is: when the wind reaches its limit, sound arises in the past; similarly, when light reaches its limit, pure light appears; when space reaches its limit, the earth shakes; when bindu reaches its limit, relics and remains appear; when the field reaches its limit, rainbows appear; when the body reaches its limit, bodies appear in sequence; the way of liberation is manifest perfection.
