Thus, by examining and analyzing, none of those are established anywhere. When the opponent of the seer arrives, the nature of the seen object is emptiness, completely severed. This knowing of the seer cannot be pointed out. The nature of individual self-awareness is self-arisen as primordial purity and spontaneously accomplished wisdom. At that time, what is the going or staying? By looking at its nature, the self-power of unobstructed knowing, free from the knower and the known, is naturally maintained, so the state of primordial purity of original emptiness is manifested. As it says in 'Liberation Through Designation': 'By examining everything inside and out, one is liberated into original emptiness.' And: 'If one knows the basis as completely pure, then the meaning of the basis is manifested, and one is liberated in one's own place.' Here, it is also said that realizing the knowing-emptiness that is free from grasping at a nature, the valpo without a trace, free from attachment, is the same meaning. If you think that examining the three places of origin, dwelling, and going is a repetition of the uncommon preliminary practices, it is not so. The former establishes the non-existence of the object by examining it, while the latter establishes it on the basis of the subject by examining it. This is the view of the omniscient Longchenpa. The former is the method of establishing the mind as rootless and baseless, while the latter is the view of Minling Terchen father and son, which shows the state of abiding equally in the meaning of what has been established. These are the stages of guidance for generating the unborn meaning of the state of reality. Introducing the Self-Nature of Rigpa. The Common Introduction. Third, regarding the introduction to the self-nature of rigpa, there are two methods: the common introduction based on the difference in faculties, and the uncommon introduction. First, the common one is from the 'Introduction to Proliferation': Emaho! By introducing appearances as mind, one becomes accustomed to mind. By introducing mind itself as emptiness, emptiness increases bliss. By introducing emptiness as rigpa, rigpa itself is non-dual with the expanse, that alone is the dharmakaya. Thus, for those disciples of this dharma who have faith but whose discriminating consciousness is obscured, by first introducing appearances as created by the mind, self-grasping and self-continuum are reversed. By introducing the creating mind as emptiness, attachment to objects is abandoned. By introducing emptiness as rigpa, one is led by considering the point of not misunderstanding the nature of reality as annihilation, which is common to other result-oriented vehicles, but not the actual liberation of this path.
