If you wonder if it arises from any cause or condition, if you think like that, dissect each of those causes into atoms and search and examine, but you won't find it. It doesn't arise from the external environment or sentient beings. If you wonder if it arises from the internal self, even if you carefully distinguish each part of the body, the upper, lower, inner, outer, and middle parts, you won't find it, so it doesn't arise from there either. Similarly, it doesn't arise from the aspect of seeming to be an existing entity, no matter how you search, you won't find its target. It doesn't arise from the side of non-existence and emptiness either, because the place of arising and the place of origin are not established. Mind does not arise from mind, because the place of arising and the one who arises are not established. Consider what the object of the place of arising and the mind of the one who arises are like. If you examine the mind of the seeker, the place of arising and the one who arises, all the apprehended objects that appear as the object and the subject of searching, you won't find the essence to be identified, so the cause and condition have no place and are without support. In a state free from all speech, thought, expression, and acceptance, you suddenly awaken, which is a sign of maturing in the body. Recognize that the nature of mind, free from identification, the essence is the empty Dharmakaya, without birth, and that is recognized and determined. Examining the place and the one who dwells. Second, examining the place and the one who dwells: As before, where does this mind dwell now? Completely cut off the outer and inner environment, sentient beings, and parts of the body, etc. If the thought arises, "It dwells here," then divide it into parts and atoms and look. For example, if you think it dwells in the heart, then where does it dwell, at its tip, root, flesh and fat, blood and membrane, etc.? What is the shape, color, function, metaphor, and nature of the thing that dwells? Whether the mind to be realized and the consciousness that realizes are the same or different, etc., examine well. As a sign of its accomplishment, there is no place to dwell or rely on anywhere, and it is not established in any form, so it is free from identification. Although consciousness is clear and apparent, its nature is not established, and it is determined in the great primordial emptiness without foundation or root, and it is identified with the unceasing Sambhogakaya. At this time, on the three doors, due to the proximity of feeling, whatever sign of experience arises, it seems as if it exists there, which is caused by the aggregate of formation, conditioned by the temporarily arising conceptual thought, and attachment to the object of apprehension, thus ripening the fruit of the master, and the object and subject of apprehension are emptied and exhausted.

It is said that through this, one can achieve a free life without fear and caution. Examining the Place of Going and the Goer Third, examining the place of going and the goer: After that, examine this mind, which seems to appear as wal and disappear as yal, its place of going, whether it is external and internal, container and content, appearance and emptiness, existence and non-existence, etc. Because there is no place to go, it is determined that the appearance of objects is made by the mind. Examining the mind of the goer, also because there is nothing to grasp, it is believed that the nature of the object does not exist. Because the cause of the three aspects of mind arising, abiding, and going is empty, the mind no longer clings to the result with doubt. Because it is known that the nature of mind is awareness, emptiness, and great compassion, free from coming, going, liberation, delusion, etc., it is believed that enlightenment cannot be achieved through fabricated dharmas. The object to be viewed, the subject who views, and the place where the mind goes are all beyond thought and expression. Different essences and different forms cannot be grasped, thereby cutting off superimposition. In this way, as a sign of the maturity of mind training, the nest of delusion collapses, and the house of the mind crumbles. The essence of awareness is known, and confidence is found from within. Awareness is empty and clear, unwavering from its essence, and is established. Meeting the continuous stream of the Buddha's incarnate body. Therefore, one can distinguish between appearance and emptiness, arising and ceasing, and all dualistic dharmas, reveal the truth, and jointly purify the sins of the mind. Because one realizes that the mind is emptiness, one will not be hindered by obstacles. In particular, because the mind's attachment is reversed, one will not be deluded into samsara again. Ultimately, one is liberated in the state of being inseparable from the Dharmakaya. The mind and intellect are perfected in the Vajra heart, and thus enter into Nirvana. Settling into the Natural State and Returning Each to Its Place Settling the Three Doors into the Natural State The fourth part is divided into settling into the natural state and returning each to its place. First, settling the three doors into the natural state includes: Why settle into the natural state? How to settle into the natural state? And the explanation of the merits. First, why is it necessary to settle into the natural state? As it is said in "The Blazing Lamp": "After distinguishing between samsara and nirvana, settle the body, speech, and mind into the natural state." And as it is said in "The Clear Expanse": "Because the arising of body, speech, and mind is confused, in order to liberate them, settle into the natural state." By distinguishing between samsara and nirvana of the outer, inner, and three doors, one can abandon the dharmas of samsara, that is, the false discriminations that should be abandoned, and the virtuous false discriminations that are the antidote to transcendence.
