Ah! Possessing the meaning of Dharma-nature and having reached the limit, without ignorance regarding the meaning of desire, these are the characteristics of a secret mantra lama. Thus, being skilled in all teachings of the general vehicle and especially the Vajra Vehicle, with little attachment to self and desire, abandoning worldly affairs and delighting in solitude, being skilled in explaining the meaning of Dharma-nature, having warmth signs arising from the practice of generation and completion stages, and possessing the measure of liberation in any of the outer, inner, or secret aspects. To those who are to be tamed, teaching the Dharma according to their desires, possessing great compassion and wisdom, and without weariness. Although possessing outstanding qualities, without arrogance or conceit. Thus, if possessing all these qualities, even if the lineage and appearance are inferior, they are the guide of the true path and should be relied upon. By relying on them, the Vajra Lama can enable practitioners to quickly attain the state of liberation and omniscience. As it is said in "Vast Clarity": "The lama who possesses qualities, through empowerment, liberates from all suffering." Thus it is said. The characteristics of a disciple. The characteristics of a disciple to be abandoned. Fourth, regarding the characteristics of a disciple, there are two aspects: what to abandon and what to adopt. What to abandon is as stated in "Self-Arisen": "A disciple who is not a vessel, with little wisdom, much gossip, and a large face, clever in speech but stingy in hand, full of deceit, violating the words of the lama, arguing about the repayment of kindness, not seeing qualities but finding faults, with evil lineage and nature, despising kindness and praising oneself, with lax discipline and vows, considering the lama an enemy without examining the disciple, to a person who does not practice, the empowerment of the Great Perfection, its meaning and instructions, should not be shown." Thus, those with little wisdom and ungrateful, those who are two-faced, those who praise in person but slander in secret, those who are clever in speech but stingy in hand, those who are false and deceitful, those who do not respect the words of the lama and do not listen to instructions, those who do not see qualities but find faults, those who repay kindness with harm, those who enjoy sowing discord and gossiping, those who praise themselves and argue about merits and demerits, those who are angry and harbor malice, those who do not keep vows and commitments and whose practice and conduct are lax, those with evil lineage and behavior, those who are disgusting to see and whose company is sickening, are not vessels for the empowerment and instructions of the Great Perfection and should not be given them. Even if given, it will not be beneficial, but will instead turn into empty boasting, ultimately becoming a cause for wrong views and non-virtue. In short,
