And this lies in the letters themselves, as well as hearing, contemplating the scriptures, writing letters, donating books, etc., all of which are ways to completely uphold the sacred Dharma.

Moreover, each syllable of the speech Vajra transformed into written form possesses the nature of completely perfecting all the mandalas of the Sugatas. Therefore, creating it becomes the supreme act of constructing an image body. Compared to writing scriptures by hand, building them through printing excels in many ways, achieved through the power of realization. As it is said. Gyalwang Orgyen Chenpo (Guru Rinpoche) distilled the essence of all the tantric scriptures of secret mantra and entrusted it with prayers to the supreme heart-sons of the king and subjects. In order to destroy the degeneration of the degenerate age, he concealed the unsurpassed profound Dharma as treasures. When the auspicious time ripened, the wonderful emanation treasure revealers brought forth the timely profound Dharma from the treasures. The essence of tantras, transmissions, and instructions; the key secrets of generation stage, completion stage, and Dzogchen; the pure heart-blood of the wisdom dakinis—in order for these to flourish, expand, and endure in the world, the activity of gathering the scattered fragments, creating scriptures, and spreading them in all directions is a cloud of offerings that pleases the Buddhas. It is an act of service to the teachings and an unsurpassed service to the gurus. As it is said in the Sutra of the Tathagatagarbha: "O Kungawo, a Bodhisattva who holds this Dharma discourse, recites it, extensively and correctly teaches it to others, and makes it into a scripture and holds it, should think thus: 'Today I have attained the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.'" And in the Tantra Equal to the Limit of Space: "With the seven precious jewels and so forth, the nature of all the Buddhas, the very essence of all that is gathered, is the writing of body, speech, and mind." And in Guru's Oral Instructions, Heart Essence Wish-Fulfilling Jewel: "Wherever a scripture is present, all those places are equal to Vajra Ogmin. The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and the lineage of vidyadharas bless it. Heroes and dakinis gather like clouds, and Dharma protectors and guardians act like servants." And so forth, the benefits are extensively taught in the sutras and tantras. Through the gates of teaching, study, contemplation, and practice, may it be vast.
