Therefore, one should ascertain that the truth of the origin of suffering is the cause of suffering. To abandon that, by practicing the three trainings of the antidote path, one can completely separate from the suffering of the three realms, which is the truth of cessation. This is the order of practice, he said. Generally, this is to place those with capacity in the three enlightenments, and to place those without capacity in gods and humans. Although, as he said, for those with capacity who cannot be led to the supreme being, they are placed on their respective paths, it is said that the two, lower and intermediate beings, are also spoken of for the sake of leading their own nature to the supreme being. Sharawa said, "Here, the path of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers is not spoken of. It is a secret instruction to gradually lead to the Great Vehicle." Some say that the two, lower and intermediate beings, should be abandoned or discarded by the great being. Why is that? Because the lower being, even if he has attained something before, is deceived again and again. The intermediate being is said to be contrary to the great being. It is said that some people say this, but Jowo Rinpoche's intention is not like that. Then, what is it like? The two, lower and intermediate beings, are like the branches or roots of the supreme being. The lower path is the upper path, and the upper path is a branch of the upper path. Based on that, Khenpo Paldenpa sometimes speaks of a secret instruction called "The Cycle of the Three Beings." What is that? The realization of the lower being is to be afraid of the three lower realms and to abandon the cause of non-virtue, which is indispensable as a basis for the upper two beings, so it should not be abandoned. Then, is there no difference at all? If one thinks that it is enough just to be like that, that thought should be abandoned. The two, intermediate and great beings, are not completely contradictory either, because the intermediate being at that time realizes that all of samsara is suffering, which is itself a part of the great being. Without that, one cannot generate the mind of the great being. Therefore, knowing that, the mind of the great being also arises from that, because samsara has no beginning or end, and I have wandered in samsara. Therefore, all sentient beings have been my mother, not one is not. Having been a mother, taking turns to bestow kindness, so these very kind old mothers, it would be good if they could have happiness, but they have no happiness, but suffer in the place where they suffer. Knowing the faults of samsara, one can also know the object of compassion. The realization of the intermediate being does not

It is said that Supotova said, "If one sees one's own samsara as a place of happiness and wants to liberate sentient beings, what else is that if not an enemy?" Therefore, there is no reason to generate compassion for sentient beings who are in a place of happiness. If sentient beings do not have the concept of a mother, they will not generate the mind that cannot bear their suffering. Relying on knowing that samsara is suffering and knowing sentient beings as mothers, by measuring from one's own experience, one will generate intolerance for the suffering of others, just like "knowing all sentient beings are like me." Therefore, all great thoughts depend on small and medium realizations. Therefore, although the real path is the path of a great being, its root is small and medium. Therefore, those holy beings of the Jowo's lineage regarded the small and medium Dharmas as the root of the Dharma, so that practitioners truly and certainly generate the Dharma, which is the key point here. In this way, when one's own mind turns away from all existence, and a genuine intention to abandon its cause arises, then one begins to engage in mind training in the one vehicle. Regarding this, Sharawa once said: "One cannot be completely liberated from samsara without attaining Buddhahood. The reason for this is that there is only one characteristic to be realized. Without fully realizing it, there is no complete liberation because of clinging to things as real. Complete realization is only possible for a Buddha. Saying that Hearers and Solitary Realizers also have liberation is like not being able to say that one has reached a prosperous land without reaching the edge of a cliff. If one does not temporarily lead them into those paths, they cannot enter the Great Vehicle. To guide them, it is like Indra manifesting an island when a ship is wrecked in the middle of the ocean." The Bhagavan himself said in the Great Vehicle Sutras: "If I teach various vehicles, sentient beings will become partial and develop stinginess towards the Dharma. In that way, they will not attain Buddhahood, so I did not teach various vehicles." The Sutra says there are detours and single paths. For a detour, there is no need to turn back repeatedly, once is enough. A detour refers to entering the Hearer's path and attaining the fruit, but then having to learn the Great Vehicle path from the beginning. So, do the three, definite goodness, and enlightenment, refer to Hearers and Solitary Realizers?
