When awareness arises, sentient beings come into being. This potential, in the state of sentient beings, manifests as ignorance and delusion; in the state of a yogi on the path, it manifests as realization and experience; in the state of Buddhahood as the result, it manifests as Dharmakaya (ཆོས་སྐུ།) (chos sku, 法身, dharmakāya, Dharma body) and wisdom. Abiding in the state of unborn. Since the unborn is not yet fully differentiated, awareness and ignorance exist in a mixed state. Some view the unborn as a concept, meditate in the state of unborn, and consider the stability of the unborn as the result, but there is a problem with this. If the unborn is taken as the Dharmakaya, from where does samsara (འཁོར་བ།) (khor ba, 轮回, saṃsāra, cycle of existence) come? The dharma of samsara, which is ignorance, is also without cause and condition, so the unborn is itself. The dharma of nirvana (མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས།) (mya ngan las 'das, 涅槃, nirvāṇa, cessation of suffering), which is awareness, is also without cause and condition, so the unborn is itself. The dharmas of both samsara and nirvana are equal in the unborn, because the unborn has unimpeded potential. When this potential arises as awareness, the Dharmakaya arises; when it arises as ignorance, samsara arises. Therefore, the unborn cannot be equated with the Dharmakaya. The unborn has no conceptual thought, and although it resembles the Dharmakaya, it cannot become a Buddha because it lacks wisdom. Buddhahood cannot be without conceptual thought, because one must clearly know everything. The unborn is the Dharmakaya, but it is not the wisdom body. The unborn abides in non-conceptual thought, but merely being without conceptual thought is not enough to become a Buddha. For example, merely being without conceptual thought also exists in inanimate objects, but because they lack wisdom, they cannot become Buddhas. Therefore, there is a problem with hoping for Buddhahood from the unborn. Some speculate about the unborn, and because they do not know the key point of non-obstruction, raising the unborn to non-obstruction causes the wheel of awareness to break and ignorance to enter within. For example, the unborn is like a dying ember, and raising it to non-obstruction is like a blazing flame. Both the dying ember and the blazing flame have the nature of heat, and the heat of the flame is the same, but the blazing flame can dispel darkness, while the dying ember cannot. Similarly, in the state of the unborn, one abides in non-conceptual thought, and in the state of raising the unborn, one also abides in non-conceptual thought, so although they are the same in non-conceptual thought, in the difference of characteristics, the unborn arises as awareness, and therefore can dispel ignorance. Taking a neutral attitude towards the unborn cannot dispel ignorance. When the unborn arises as non-obstruction, a yogi on the path will experience the three: bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality. At the time of Buddhahood, for one's own benefit, the six abhijñās (མངོན་པར་ཤེས་པ་དྲུག) (mngon par shes pa drug, 六神通, abhijñā, direct knowledge) will arise; for the benefit of others, ... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The two forms of the body appear in the perception of those to be tamed. By raising the unborn (སྐྱེ་མེད་བསླངས་པས་), one goes into diligence. It also rolls into practice. It also rolls into bliss and clarity. Having gone at all times, one remains inseparable from the meditation of bliss and clarity. Viewing the unborn and unceasing as the view. Knowing how to carry the unborn and unceasing as meditation. Stabilizing in the unborn and unceasing is the fruit. If one does not know how to raise the unborn into the unceasing, then all discriminations cannot be raised into the unborn. Discrimination remains in the unborn, but even the unborn discrimination still lacks the power of wisdom, so it remains a flaw. Knowing how to carry the unborn into the unceasing, the yogi raises the unceasing into the path, so the yogi has experience. All the qualities of the Buddha's knowledge also arise from this. The sign of unfailing accomplishment is the ability to keep secrets. Because it is unchanging, cultivate patience in meditation. To quickly attain enlightenment, cut off the crossroads of hope and fear. In order not to be interrupted by demons, no matter what signs and characteristics arise, do not have thoughts of liking or disliking. Even without hope in the Buddha, do not slander any Dharma. Even without fear of samsara, abandon even the slightest sin. Even if you realize your own mind as Buddha, carry the lama on your crown. Because self and other are inseparable, do not cut off the continuity of compassion. Put it into practice! The root of the vows is the unborn. Realizing one's own mind is the unborn wind. Because the unborn has not been raised, it is said to be wind because one does not know it oneself. Furthermore, the lama said: All phenomena of appearance and sound are discriminations, and without discriminations, there can be no appearance. Discrimination is mind. Mind is unborn. The unborn is emptiness. Emptiness is dharmata. Dharmata is nothing, but it appears in various ways. At the time of appearance, it does not go beyond any meaning. Thus, if one realizes the meaning of the two truths abiding inseparably, that is the view; not straying from that is meditation; cutting off hope, fear, and pride is the fruit. The Quintessence of the Five Introductions The Quintessence of the Five Introductions. Homage to the Guru! The lama said: The quintessence of Mahamudra has five introductions: introducing appearance as mind, introducing mind as emptiness, introducing emptiness as clear light, introducing clear light as union, and introducing union as great bliss. Among these, there are beneficial appearances, harmful appearances, and appearances that are neither beneficial nor harmful. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
