Inseparability from skillful means and wisdom. The Lama said, 'A view that does not arise from meditation is difficult.' If one realizes that the essence of awareness is separate from all arising and ceasing, it is said that one can attain Buddhahood through realization without meditation. Do not observe even if abiding is short; wanting it to be long is a fault. Do not observe subtle realization; that is one's own nature. Look at the ground where it has scattered, and it will return.' Dualistic grasping is the duality of object and mind, like milk mixed with water. The meaning is that awareness is like an elephant, stable as the Dharmakāya (法身). Experience is the arising of various things, changing like pure gold wherever it goes, eventually disappearing. Realization should be carried into the realm of space. This is what the Lama said. Ati. A Lama who has realized emptiness (Śūnyatā) said that if one cannot definitively enter into non-arising (anutpāda), then for the uncertainty of appearances, one must separately examine and apply cessation, because there is no place of arising in non-arising. If one is not certain of the essence of non-arising, then that is itself, that is its own characteristic. That is not itself. It is a tree, but not a fruit. It is a quality, but not without realization. If one realizes the nature of the mind, that is realizing the nature of all phenomena. The essence of the mind's samādhi (等持) that is separate from duality does not change whether the Buddha appears or not. If one clings only to non-arising, one will go towards nihilism. In non-arising, awareness abides like something in a bag, like butter pervading milk. If one becomes accustomed to the essence of awareness being clear and uninterrupted, that is the path. If there is no clear experience, that is not the path. For someone with an eye disease, they will see hairs; once the eye disease is cured, the hairs neither rise into the sky nor sink into the eye, because they were not established from the beginning. I see what does not exist as existing. The body possesses the pride (māna) of the deity, therefore all three obscurations are purified, especially the obscuration of the body is purified. Speech possesses the pride of mantra, therefore by reciting mantras, the truth of speech is accomplished, in this life speech is pleasing, and one is not obstructed by enemies and obstacles, etc., and even if one does not recite later, speech will have power, all three obscurations are purified, especially the obscuration of speech is purified. The mind possesses the pride of the nature of reality, therefore if one realizes the original nature, it is called 'the white that can overcome', all three obscurations are purified, the need is to transform the attachment of the middling and lower faculties, the supreme is to realize union (yuganaddha), thereby seeing the truth. The lower attachment is to abandon worldly names and lineages, the lineage is the Vajra lineage, the name is Heruka. Union... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The degrees of realization are: The highest, it only appears as if phenomena are considered as illusion in the realm of mind, but in reality, it is non-dual. The middle, obtains the rank of a Chakravartin (wheel-turning king). The Tantra says: 'Obtains Vajradhara, or the rank of a Chakravartin.' The lowest, is born as a special deva or human. The reason why the highest sees the truth is: because it is the realm of holding the deity's form, and what generates this is the mind that holds. Because of knowing that the holder and the held are non-dual, one realizes the nature of all dharmas, thereby seeing the truth. The measure of stability is: The highest sees the truth, the middle is certain of illusion, the lowest generates faith. The essence is the deity, the defining word is arising in sequence, because the differences are different.' Thus it is said. Ati! Namo Guru! There are three ways to pacify diseases, first is to induce the disease: on top of the old disease, thinking of a disease even greater than it, the disease will be pacified. Eradicating the disease: first know where the disease came from, where it stays in the middle, and where it goes in the end, pacify the disease by observing its color and shape. Bringing the disease into the path: know that clinging to the disease is also the mind, and what causes the sickness is also the mind. Know that the mind is unborn. All phenomena of appearance and existence are not things outside of the mind. If one understands that the mind is unborn, that is the view. The meaning of such a view, if it arises in the inner mind, that is realization. For the meaning of realization, focusing on it with one mind is meditation. Not straying from this focus is conduct.' It is said that during practice, there is a general way of practice and an actual way of practice. First is: placing the mind on the state where all dharmas are emptiness, unborn, and nothing, this is done through the mind. The actual practice is: the nature of awareness that arises together with the mind, clear and luminous, is the Dharmakaya, its unaltered clear nature is the actual meaning. Such a meaning is independent, not falling into any side, cannot be symbolized by metaphors, cannot be touched by any words, is not the scope of activity of speculators. No matter what is used, it cannot be understood, this is the practice of the Guru's blessing, it can only be seen with the eye of wisdom, if it corresponds with you, that is good, this is my wish.' Thus it is said. The three dharmas to be realized are: from the state of nothing, realize that it appears as manifold. Even if it appears as manifold, one must realize that its essence is nothing. Realize that the two are inexpressible. The three dharmas to be practiced are: first is to be free from effort and accomplishment --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
