Having realized, without needing to make even the slightest effort in meditation, the non-meditation becomes a yoga like a flowing river. As long as there is effort to meditate, and as long as one can meditate without distraction, that is the path. Realizing the Buddha-nature exists in one's own mind, and the essence of the Dharma lies in the precious instructions of the Guru. Therefore, with great reverence, hold the nectar of the Guru's instructions in your mind. May this secret instruction, the essence of definitive meaning, be the glory of those who are fortunate and disciplined. The Great Seal's instructions are the root meaning, the supreme king of methods. This lineage comes from Lord Marpa. Namo Guru! Mind's own awareness is the Dharmakāya (法身,Body of Truth), I prostrate to that self-born, innate nature. For the sake of the fortunate ones, I will write the meaning of the Great Seal's instructions. The previously mentioned 'calling' is the Dharma of the signifier, and the Dharma of the signified meaning; the later mentioned 'listening' is the meaning. Without meditating, naturally relax. What is said is the Dharma of the expressing words, and the experience of awareness without bondage or liberation. Liberation is the Dharma of experience, and realization is the Dharma of the fruit. Realizing all is the meaning of Dharmakāya. Being like the example of water, is the meaning of realizing one's own mind as Dharmakāya. Thoughts are the meaning of Dharmakāya. Arising like the example of waves, is the meaning of realizing all appearances as Dharmakāya. Thoughts are the example of wisdom. This is known as the outer experience. Object appearance is the experience of emptiness, the body is the experience of bliss and emptiness. This is known as the inner experience. Mind is the experience of clarity and emptiness. This is known as the secret experience. Appearance is the realization of self-liberation, that is the outer realization. Awareness is the realization of self-liberation, this is the inner realization. The dissolution of duality is the realization of self-liberation, this is the secret realization. Five Dharmas, three examples, three experiences, three realizations. One's own mind is the Dharma category of the Great Seal. For the Dharma of definitive meaning of the fruit, there is nothing more than these. The ultimate meaning of the Great Seal is thus. Namo Guru! Mind rests in its own nature, mind recognizes its own nature, mind is introduced to its own nature, mind knows its own nature, mind sees its own nature, mind experiences its own nature, mind is certain of its own nature, mind is determined in its own nature. This is called the ninth cycle of mind—liberation. One with ordinary awareness, two with ordinary awareness, three with object-possessing awareness. Whoever recognizes these three, directly sees their own mind, recognizes the innate wisdom. Mind-nature is the unaltered, innate state. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seeing the essence as it truly is, this itself is the state of realization. Seeing clearly and distinctly, in short, it is the knowledge of the unadulterated natural state. The wise abandon all speculation and artificiality, the essence of clear awareness, inseparable, unscattered, and continuous. In that state, whatever thoughts arise, all are its essence. If one is not distracted by ordinary consciousness, all thoughts are awareness, and there is no need to see them as faults. Distraction is the time of delusion, but if one looks at the delusion itself, then whether one or two thoughts arise, one knows that they are manifestations of the mind, changing like water and waves. First recognize awareness, then recognize appearance, then recognize thoughts, and in this very life, one is liberated. The nature of mind is clear like the sky, the sun of awareness of Dharmakāya (藏文,梵文天城体,dharmakāya,法身) rises. If one sees only one's own mind and sees nothing else, then that mind sees the Buddha. Namo Guru (藏文,梵文天城体,namo guru,皈依上师). The Great Seal (藏文,梵文天城体,mahāmudrā,大手印) of one's own mind, its nature is originally Dharmakāya (藏文,梵文天城体,dharmakāya,法身). Its characteristics are the appearance of various phenomena, its essence is without birth or death. Its Dharma (藏文,梵文天城体,dharma,法) nature is clear light emptiness, its experience is continuous, its fruit is without hope or fear. This is the nectar drop of the words of Jetsun Lama (藏文,梵文天城体,jetsun lama,至尊上师) Snying-bgom. Namo Guru (藏文,梵文天城体,namo guru,皈依上师). Jetsun Lama (藏文,梵文天城体,jetsun lama,至尊上师) Rinpoche (藏文,梵文天城体,rinpoche,珍宝), I respectfully bow to your body, speech, and mind. The song of the Mahāmudrā (藏文,梵文天城体,mahāmudrā,大手印) instructions, written in the manner of experience and realization. The observer observes one's own mind with one's own mind, observing with one's own mind, then one's own mind appears as ordinary consciousness. The knowing mind sees the object of knowledge, sees the essence of clear awareness, sees the essence of the clear light Dharmakāya (藏文,梵文天城体,dharmakāya,法身), sees the essence of the nature of Dharmakāya (藏文,梵文天城体,dharmakāya,法身). Seeing without seer or seen, seeing the essence of original purity, seeing the essence without change, seeing the essence without clarity or obscurity, seeing the essence without interruption, seeing the essence without hope or fear, seeing one's own mind born together. Seeing the original Mahāmudrā (藏文,梵文天城体,mahāmudrā,大手印), directly seeing the wisdom of the three visions, seeing one's own mind with the eye of wisdom, seeing without seer or seen. Looking at one's own mind is looking at Suchness with Suchness, one's own mind seeing one's own mind is true seeing and liberation. Being at ease without effort is bliss, being clear without fixation, being certain without acceptance or rejection, realizing without abandonment or attainment.
