Do not let external thieves succeed, Do not let internal thieves prevail, Do not disturb the minds of the teachers and disciples, Do not let the villagers quarrel among themselves, Do not let the corpses rot, Do not let the family members disagree, Do not let chance encounters lead to separation. Wherever we, the retinue, go, Good and bad, dwelling and not dwelling, right and wrong, Be friends and companions with the wealth and possessions of people, When thirsty, satisfy with food, When weary, satisfy with wealth, When cold, satisfy with clothing. Release the bonds of others, Deceive the minds of the householders, Stir the hearts of the women, Grant the desired attainments of wealth. May the virtuous protector be the merchant chief, May the glorious one be the road deity, May the son of the sun be the sentinel.
