Then, wrap seven layers of cloth with clay, make it like before, pour sand into the container, and ignite it together with the sand, burning it for half a day like before. After it cools down, take it out and melt it slowly, and you will get mercury that is non-toxic and free of impurities. Another method is to grind seven measures of mercury and a handful of long pepper roots in a stone mortar for seven days. Pour in བྷཾ་ག་རེའི་ཐང་ཆུ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), and grind again for seven days. Then, in a well-dried clay container, put in two measures of asphalt, seal the mouth, and wrap it with three layers of cloth soaked in long pepper mud. Bury the container in sand, seal the mouth, and ignite it like before for one day and one night. After it cools down, take it out, and you can also get mercury that is non-toxic and free of impurities. White lead, black lead, and calamine, no matter how much, mix them in equal proportions and put them in a container. Ignite it to melt it, and filter the butter with gauze and store it properly in another container. Then, use a small iron spoon to scoop a small amount of butter and རངྐ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), also called ཉི་ཤུ་ཁ་སརྦ་ལྷ་ཏི་ཚ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), and stir. After the smoke from the butter dissipates, pour in butter again, repeating this seven times. Then, grind བྷཱ་ཊའི་ལོ་མ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) and དྷུ་ཏི་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) two kinds of medicinal materials in equal amounts into powder, sprinkle it in without leaving a trace, and stir. Taking it with arura is good for treating headaches. Put a handful of white lead in a pottery jar. After igniting it to melt it, pour in half a handful of mercury, do not stop heating, stir with ash, and gradually add half a handful of dubala, until the three materials are completely mixed, seal the mouth of the pottery jar so that it does not leak air. Then, apply mud mixed with cloth or medicinal blood, and wrap it with cloth again, repeating this three times. After it dries, burn it continuously for five days without stopping heating. Then, cool it completely and take it out. Filter the milk with gauze.
