Only expose it to the sun about twice; there is no need for the previous method of multiple exposures. Then, mix male urine, goat's milk, cow's milk, and a liquid called "Vasara," in sequence, rubbing them together for three days each. Next, mix the juice extracted from crushed sunflower leaves, the juice from completely crushed garlic, and the Vasara liquid, in sequence, rubbing them together once each day. Then, finely grind twenty-four spoonfuls of yellow orpiment. In an iron pot, boil Vamarasara, remove the impurities, add a little fire, and slowly pour it into the cow's milk, being careful not to let the sediment spill out. When a coagulate appears, and the ghee and milk mix, causing the orpiment to settle like sinking to the bottom, mix it with the previous mercury and rub it slightly. In a stone mortar, add a little goat's milk to three and a half spoonfuls of Sumala and rub them together. Then, perform drying and pouring steps, continuing for three days. Separately dry and grind the Vasara liquid and milk in sequence, as before, continuing for three days, and then mix them with the previous mercury and orpiment mixture. In a stone mortar, mix two spoonfuls of salt with male urine, dry and grind as before for three days, and then mix it with the mercury mixture. Dry and rub all these mixtures in the stone mortar for seven days. Then melt. Wrap a glass bottle with linen cloth and apply mud. After it dries, wrap it again with linen cloth and mud, repeating seven times, and pour the mixture into the bottle, filling about two-thirds of it. Place iron filings into the bottle. Place the earthenware pot in a pit filled with about three finger-depths of sand, and fill the gaps with sand to seal it. Pour half a spoonful of lead into the bottle, and stir it slowly with an iron rod, heating it from sunrise until the sun begins to set. Then, remove the iron rod and seal the bottle mouth with mud kneaded with salt water. Cover it with sand, put on the lid, and continue heating for one day and one night, with a very strong fire that does not stop. Then, do not open it until the sand has completely cooled. After it has completely cooled, take out the bottle, gently break it, and take out the mercury. The mercury obtained in this way is non-toxic and pure. Another method: Put two spoonfuls of mercury, two spoonfuls of yellow orpiment, three kinds of wood (Sanskrit Devanagari: अध जरी, Sanskrit Romanization: adha jarī, Literal Chinese meaning: Adha Jari), a pinch of Naga Zhali (Sanskrit Devanagari: नका चलि, Sanskrit Romanization: nakā cali, Literal Chinese meaning: Naga Zhali), and the juice of Tulapa, all into a cave. Seal the mouth carefully with clay.
