Generous giving is in accordance with the Dharma. A Brahmin begs and obtains, therefore it is called begging. Following is like giving wood for a guest, for those who have not begged, the guest takes the root of the wood, this is called following in the mind. Not begging is like a man offering flowers to a stupa. For those who are clearly begging, the act of giving correctly is correct giving, the fourth correct giving is correct giving. From where do they come, what are the two kinds? From moving and unmoving. From moving, like falling from a running horse is the rider. Falling from a running elephant is like the one holding the iron hook. From unmoving, like coming from a village is Deva-datta, descending from a mountain are the great sages, descending from the heavens are the gods. Coming from the teachings is from which path it comes, from where it comes is the fifth. What are the kinds of dwelling places? Pervasive dwelling place, nearby stable, dwelling, nearby dwelling place. Pervasive is like sesame oil pervading all the sesame seeds. Nearby dependent is like a man relying on a cushion, a Brahmin relying on a chariot, a sage relying on support. A dwelling place is like a lion dwelling in the forest, and the Able One dwelling in a dwelling place. A nearby dwelling place is like a buffalo dwelling in a river, the basis of a dwelling is a dwelling place, the seventh dwelling place is a dwelling place. Saying "who does this" becomes the author, like this, doing things is the author, since it will become the author, why is it necessary to say the author? From other actions and authors, and correct giving, from where it comes, the authors of the dwelling places, how are they accomplished? For those, the author is also said to all. From where? Because one wants to express independence. In this way, wanting to express the independence of each author, so saying all the authors can also be accomplished. Among them, the author of expression is the first.

Now, what needs to be done is: for example, "Devadatta cooks rice porridge" and "Devadatta makes a mat out of grass," and so on. The unexpressed subject is: the unexpressed subject has two distinctions. The third is like "Devadatta cooks rice porridge," where "third" refers to the subject and action being in the third case. The sixth is like "practicing Dharma out of fear of the next world," where the action is in the sixth case. Similarly, the expressed object is also like the previous distinction, what does this mean? Just as the expressed subject becomes the first case, the expressed object also becomes the first case, such as "Devadatta is the one who cooks rice porridge" and "Pāṇini is the one who makes grammar (藏文:བྱཱ་ཀ་ར་ཎ་,梵文天城体:व्याकरण,梵文罗马拟音:vyākaraṇa,汉语字面意思:grammar)." Similarly, the expressed object should also be understood as the first case, such as "Devadatta cooks rice porridge" and "Devadatta carries a load," and so on. The unexpressed object is abandoning the first case, similarly, what does abandoning the fifth and seventh cases mean? The unexpressed object is abandoning the first, fifth, and seventh cases. The remainder is divided into four types, namely the second, third, fourth, and sixth cases. Among them, the second case is like "the man goes to the village," the second case is called the second case of the object. The third case is like "the father is known by the son," meaning the father is what the son knows. What is called "name and word object" is the third case. The fourth case is like "the man goes for the village" and "the Brahmin's son goes for the city," the object of the meaning of going is the second and fourth cases, such as "standing up and walking on the road" is the fourth case. The sixth case is like "Devadatta is the maker of the grass mat" and "Offering is the carrier of the load," and so on, the maker and the made are the sixth case. There are three types of action, namely the third, fifth, and sixth cases. Among them, the third case is like "Devadatta cuts the tree with an axe," where "third" refers to the agent and the instrument. The fifth case is like "liberated from a small amount is a small amount."
