Because it has been closely accepted, there is no difference. Therefore, this shows that there is no fault. If so, then how is it established? The Dharma should be accepted as a common entity for inference, and so should the Dharma to be established, because it is not possible to infer the particular. Therefore, by saying that "impermanence itself is one, and it applies to both," the similar side also becomes the side. Why use other words? For example, here there is "change" and so on. If it is said that it is not appropriate to want to express the absence of change? It is said: There is a difference. Again, how can there be no difference, and not be a difference of impermanence itself? For example, a pot and so on, because impermanence itself has already been established on a pot and so on. There is no need to establish it, but it is not so for sound. Therefore, only this is the difference, that in one the Dharma to be established has been understood, and in the other it has not been understood. Where it has been understood, it is said to be the similar side, and where it has not been understood, it is said to be the side. Because the reason is established on both, it is only closely applied to inference, therefore, it does not have such a distinction. Therefore, it is not intended to be expressed. Therefore, here there is also a difference, as has been said. Moreover, from the word "also," there is also non-difference, that is, impermanence itself, which is the nature of cutting off permanence, because it is non-difference itself. This word is the meaning of the reason. Because there are such differences and non-differences, therefore, it is not desired that the side and the similar side are the same. Then, what is the dissimilar side? This is a question of doubt. The truth of doubt lies in its application to multiple meanings, and this must be shown by oneself, answering: It exists and so on. If it also applies to slander and so on, even so, only that which can have three meanings is arranged here. For example, on it and so on. Here, it should be promised, it should be examined. Moreover, the word "and" is the meaning of collection. The letter "not" is a different order, that is, immediately after the word of separation.

It should be observed. Therefore, the meaning here is: Regarding those three situations, namely, from what is other than the similar side and what is contrary to it, please also acknowledge that this second situation belongs to the dissimilar side. The word "for a while" is used to exclude the situation of not acknowledging it as the dissimilar side later on. Although it may become so, but for what is other than it, and what is contrary to it, if both of these situations belong to the dissimilar side, then that is a fault. If you acknowledge that what is other than it is the dissimilar side, then you will have no reason at all, because like the similar side such as a pot, just because it has other qualities such as impermanence, it becomes other than the similar side, therefore it is also the dissimilar side, and because it also applies to being made, etc., it will become uncertain. Even if what is contrary to it is the dissimilar side, for example, "fire is hot here," this means that by distinguishing the dissimilar side, the reason to be proved is understood, that is, when proving fire, it is understood as being distinguished only from the opposite cold, not from what is neither warm nor cold, because that is not contradictory. Moreover, the warm touch will not be understood from that either. Therefore, if someone asks, how can these be acknowledged as the dissimilar side? The answer is, "two are," etc., where the word "are" is the reason. Because other and contradictory things are the dissimilar side, then, in order, there will be no fault of having no reason, nor will there be a fault of distinguishing from contradictory things. Therefore, both of these situations should be acknowledged as the dissimilar side, that is its meaning. If what is other than the similar side is the dissimilar side, etc., the order of these words is different, meaning that if what is other than the similar side is the dissimilar side, then you will not get the fault of having no reason. Think like this: It is unreasonable to consider the similar side itself as other just because it has other qualities, for example, saying "someone other than a Brahmin come," this is merely saying that the Brahmin himself is a man, etc.

Because it possesses other dharmas, it cannot be understood in the world as being different from a Brahmin. So what is it? It is that which does not rely on the dharma to be expressed, such as a Kshatriya. Therefore, it does not fall into the fault of having no reason. Like this, etc., is to prove non-oneness, to show that otherness is indeed the dissimilar characteristic, and to establish the tenet of not falling into the immediate fault of having no reason. Observe the phrase "exists in the similar side," it is to ascertain that it exists only in the similar side. The so-called "other than impermanence, etc.," here "for suffering, etc." is the seventh case of reason. Regarding this, this is the meaning of collection, because whatever is the nature of things such as being made, etc., which only exists in the similar side, does not exist in the dissimilar side that has the characteristic of otherness, and it not only becomes the reason for impermanence, but also because it is the reason for other dharmas other than impermanence, such as the nature of suffering, etc., it avoids falling into the fault of having no reason. If what is contrary to the similar side is the dissimilar side, even so, there is no fault, this is the remaining part. Observe here that it is determined as "only contrary to the similar side." If it is said that this indicates that merely being contrary is not the dissimilar side, then what is it? There are also others and non-existents. Therefore, this is completely without fault. After admitting that merely being contrary is the similar side, I will answer. Why is it that there is no fault in merely being contrary not being the dissimilar side? Therefore, etc., therefore it is because merely being contrary is the dissimilar side. Whatever is merely, that is, does not exist in the nature of being contrary to the dissimilar side, then merely cutting off what is to be proven cannot be understood. Then, from where does one obtain the difference of the universal word "for what"? Then, what is the dissimilar side? Because it is made here in the case of the dissimilar side. Others read it as "whatever does not exist in it." Here
