Because what can be measured is not manifest. Inference is also not its result, because it is meaningless, so the explanation of the conclusion is: Therefore, it is because it is not the nature of holding meaning. Understanding is meaningless. The thing that is not the cause is the present manifest. Precisely because of this, it is because there is no thing of cause and effect. Impotence means only that the ability is blocked, not the meaning of one's own nature. If the answer is that because one can see, then the previous view, is it not only the object of seeing? It is reasonable to say that there is no seeing in the nature of the manifest of seeing, if you think so, like this. Seeing is not the object of nature, but it is the object of ability. That is not manifest, as it is said. Therefore, seeing here means that understanding is the agent, so the world understands that it is the cause, etc. Without distinction means that it is established as seeing because it is like seeing. Precisely because of this, it is from the world's own understanding. Seeing refers to the present cause and effect. Special devotion is, showing discrimination. Most of the worldly terms are only made by discrimination, so it is said like this. If it is said that memory is only related to things, so it is established through memory, then how is it established through special devotion? Memory and things, etc. For the time being, the manifest does not understand the connection of memory, so it is related. Why? Because memory is not manifest, because it is not the object of root manifest. Self-awareness also does not understand the connection with things, so it is said that it is self-awareness. Then, can the manifest of meaning understand the connection of memory? It has been said before. Therefore, it is because it does not enter. In the mundane, there is contact

It is so. Saying "this I" means saying "this is me." Leaving home and returning home is due to the power of particularly liking the nature of not remembering. The establishment of all establishments, such as cause and effect, grasper and grasped, is only due to particular liking. Direct perception is ultimate by its own nature. Like an illusion, if not examined, it is pleasing. Saying that the discrimination of direct perception is conventional means saying: That which obscures the nature of others by its own nature is called conventional. This contradicts the characteristics of conventionality, which is the meaning of "thinking." The ultimate nature established by valid cognition does not exist. Only particular liking is conventional. If asked why this is so, It is the meaning of "the meaning of conventional." It means the meaning understood by the discrimination that is valid cognition. If asked: How does it become conventional? How does it become worldly terms by merely particularly liking? For example, and so on. If so, "is it so?" is when retreating from analytical observation. This is what appears to be seen. Saying all worldly terms means the terms of results, etc., of worldly beings. Such a nature is the characteristic of appearing to see what is not seen. If asked: How is everything conventional? Answer: Because it is immeasurable. If it is said: If cause and effect are only conventional, how can it be established? Because it is extremely established by direct perception and non-perception, and extremely accomplished by concomitance and exclusion. To dispel this doubt, it is said: If cause and effect are understood from concomitance and exclusion, then at that time, for that concomitance and exclusion, direct perception, that is, the valid cognition of the nature of direct perception and non-perception, does not exist, because it only grasps phenomena. The inference of that nature is also the same for concomitance and exclusion, because it is not a characteristic, because there is the fault of infinite regress. Then not

If it is thought that those direct perceptions that accompany the nature of inference are valid cognitions, then it is said, "From direct perception and non-perception." If one accepts inference as having the nature of non-perception, then at that time it is mutual, because one inference relies on another inference, therefore the endless following and contradiction cannot be established, or if there is inference, then there is holding of following, etc., and if that exists, then also because it is inference, mutual dependence is only mutual dependence. Explaining the meaning of the immediately following verse is that following and contradiction are one thing. If direct perception only holds the thing itself and does not hold both, then holding the following is inevitable, so doubting from where that is also non-existent, so it is said that direct perception holds the following. Why? Because it says, "If this exists." Why is that not an action? Because it says, "Only holding both," because it is not the nature of combination. If because immediately after fire, smoke is seen, then is its following not existent? If it is not so, it will not become immediately seen. If it is thought that even if there is immediate holding, following is not possible, so it is said, "The immediately after this" is said. Even if there is no following, immediate seeing is possible, so thinking about how to realize that for it. If it is thought how there is no following, then it is said, "Like this." "Arising from this itself," etc., are in order, diligently distinguishing between being related to others and being very unrelated, and unrelated. Again, why is only this to be distinguished? Because it says, "Other meaning." The statement for the first is, "If from this." If it is thought what will become from this, then it says, "To that also." "Because there is no certainty" means there is no pervasion. The statement for the second is, "From this." Why is it not grasped so certainly? Because it says, "Occasionally at other times." The third exclusion is "From this also."
