Moreover, it is not even for the purpose of thoroughly establishing the valid cognition of what is desired to be manifested. If it is said, "Nowhere is there anything in common," etc., then how does this explain the meaning? This is also because one speaks of that meaning oneself, and it is universally cited in order to thoroughly show that very instruction. The meaning is that this is only not that, because it comes from the lineage of instruction. Wherever the nature of the characteristics of the subject, etc., is shown, it is also to explain that meaning by stating it in that very treatise, and that is also considered to be merely cited. It is done that way for the sake of easy demonstration, but not for the sake of explaining that treatise. Likewise, it is not because he entrusted it, nor is it because of hating the pseudo-reason that establishes the object of mere consciousness as similar, therefore there is no need to argue again and again. Precisely because of this, it is not that the inference was first explained after becoming a method of explaining that treatise. Nor should it be understood that the first verse was explained for that meaning. If you ask what was not explained, then the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the Bhagavan, who shows what is Dharma and what is not Dharma, establishes what should not be distinguished, and that itself is what everything should rely on, so it is also unreasonable to establish it without relying on it. The Bhagavan also relies on correct terminology, and is divided into two types by the distinction of the stages of cause and effect. The stage of cause is the stage of the Bodhisattva, and at that time, too, because everything is realized by inference, the Bhagavan first proclaimed inference. To distinguish with scripture and reason, which indicates what will be explained in the chapter on inference, is called "showing the intention to benefit beings." Similarly, the stage of fruition is divided into two types by the distinction of the perfection of self-benefit and the perfection of other-benefit. Among these, the perfection of self-benefit is the nature of direct perception, because everything directly realizes all aspects without exception. The many methods of various kinds, which indicates what will be explained, is called "Sugata Protector." Other-benefit perfec

Furthermore, the Bhagavan manifests as is, and in order to show others the path, it is the nature of inferring for the benefit of others. Among these, self-benefit is supreme and is the root, so it is primarily direct perception. Inference, which becomes its aid, is also a valid cognition, because merely remembering the sign that pervades what is to be proven, it is close to the terminology of words, so after the inference for self-benefit, one wants to prove the inference for the benefit of others. And teaching this is called salvation. If these three valid cognitions do not have a common characteristic, because one cannot understand that scriptures and so on, which are not valid cognitions, are without characteristics, in order to strongly prove the common characteristic of valid cognitions, it is taught in the first chapter, which is called 'Became Valid Cognition'. There is no certainty of the order of the words of the classification of common characteristics. Cutting off non-valid cognitions by classification is just like ascertaining valid cognitions as they are. Cutting off non-valid cognitions by common characteristics, or classifying them right here, showing the classification by 'two kinds' and so on, because it is a branch of the distinguishing characteristic, so it is two kinds. Therefore, 'first' is certainty. Because if there is no establishment by classification, one wants to know the extremely certain nature, and also cannot want to know. Having prostrated to such a valid cognition, one should explain, and it should be connected in this way. Moreover, the Bhagavan eliminates the nature of conventional truth and ultimate truth, and the confusion of others, which should be proven here, because he has completely abandoned all defilements with habitual tendencies, virtues

I am dispelling the error of others who say that we do not believe. Because in what is manifested, that definite reason, it is not appropriate for those who speculate or are proficient in words not to believe. The remainder is the same as this, which is the order of the chapters. Of these, the first half of "become valid" is praise. Explaining the establishment of validity, not because the teacher explains the scriptures, this is to elucidate the intention of composing the Commentary on Validity. Among them, the reason is a bad speculative error. Furthermore, some say that the Blessed One, like a lamp, passed into nirvana, but also to establish that it is valid, therefore "become valid" and so on are said. It is not appropriate to abandon faultless things, such as nirvana. Similarly, the omniscient wisdom is also, what is shown is "Sugata." Even if it is such a nature, but because the cause of the continuity of things does not exist, will it not be exhausted like a lamp with exhausted ghee and so on? Therefore, "showing benefit" is said, which also shows that there is no other stable cause. However, even so, some do not approach and abandon, or produce various contradictions or themselves, therefore "become valid" is said. Because benefit is shown closely in all births, it is the application of benefit, if that is not meaningless, then what is the necessity of applying benefit once? It should not be so, because the objects to be benefited are infinite, and the application of benefit is also infinite, therefore it is vowed to accomplish the meaning of all sentient beings. And because that is not complete, the Blessed One himself is not complete, what is shown is "valid." Among them, what shows no contradiction is "true." For truth, truth is not the harm of parents, just as the knowledge of a conch shell is not the harm of the knowledge of silver. What harms truth is truth, which is visible, just as cold is burned. Similarly, here too it will become samadhi and so on. That is not, because it is not an eternal contradiction.
