The three fallacious reasons are unestablished, contradictory, and uncertain. If it is said that a non-erroneous contradiction is also a cause of doubt, then it is not mentioned here, because it does not exist in the realm of inference. When mentioning the characteristics of result, nature, or non-perception, a non-erroneous contradiction does not exist, and there is no other non-erroneous contradiction. Therefore, since it enters through the power of unseen things, it relies on inference that relies on scripture. For those who examine its meaning, a non-erroneous contradiction is said to be a fault of proof. Because the treatise makers may err in meanings and wrongly show the nature. Because it is impossible for things to exist as they are in nature, result, and non-perception. Here, the example is those that exist in all places, are related to themselves, and the one that is manifestly related, it exists in all, like space and so on. In general, all things in all places are manifestly related to things related to themselves simultaneously. The nature of the follower of just the nature related to it is the very nature of abiding in its field. That which is not in a place is not the self-nature pervading that field, this is called the statement of the reason of nature. The second statement is also that whatever is an object of perception, if it is not perceived in a place, then it is not there. For example, there is no pot in a certain place. Also, for the clear intervals, whatever has become an object of perception is generally not perceived. This non-perception and nature, because they are proven to be mutually contradictory, cause doubt about one. Merely mentioning the three characteristics of the reason is enough to understand the meaning, so the limb of proof called example has nothing else separately. Therefore, its characteristics are not stated separately, because it is for understanding the meaning. The reason exists in the similar side, and is stated without distinction in the manner of being opposite from all dissimilar sides. Furthermore, it should be known that, in particular, the arising of both result and nature and merely their followers are shown to be.

It is explained that because it can show, where there is smoke, there is fire; if there is no fire, there is no smoke, like the kitchen and so on. Where there is fabrication, there is impermanence; if there is no impermanence, fabrication is also impossible, like the vase and space, etc., it should be explained in this way. Otherwise, it is not possible to show the forms of existence and non-existence in accordance with what has been said in the similar and dissimilar aspects. The sign of the effect is definitely its effect, or the sign of the nature is pervaded by nature, because its manner is limited to this extent. This also eliminates the faults of the example, for example, sound is permanent because it is not substantial, like karma and atoms and the vase, which is neither the thing to be proven nor the proving dharma. Similarly, doubting the dharma to be proven, etc., for example, because it speaks, it has desire, etc., like a traveler on the road, or this person is of the nature of death because he has desire, etc., like a traveler on the road, or because he has desire, etc., he is not omniscient, like a traveler on the road, and so on. No following and not well showing the following, for example, whoever speaks has desire, etc., like a desirous person, or because it is made, sound is impermanent, like a vase. Similarly, the reverse following, for example, whatever is impermanent is made, this is because the dharma is the same. Because the dharma is not the same, like atoms and karma and space, this is irreversible from what is to be proven, etc. Similarly, doubting the reversal from what is to be proven, etc., for example, the Samkhyas, etc., are not omniscient or trustworthy, because there is no demonstration of the perfect measure that has become the sign of omniscience and freedom from desire, etc. Here, an example of dissimilar dharma is, whoever is omniscient
