He rejoices without attachment or aversion towards Brahmanas and Ishvaras. For the sake of the Teacher himself, just as a single white umbrella covers the body of the holder, even if the entire earth is covered by his own kingdom, he considers it an obstacle to virtue, like cutting off limbs such as arms and legs with a sharpened sword. Or he considers it a source of suffering. The perfection of qualities is: one verse like the moon. The moon increases greatly from the first day, shines brightly, is complete on the fifteenth day, dispels darkness, moves alone, is pleasing, beneficial to the eyes of the beholder, cools the body, and appears in the sky, just as it possesses nine qualities, so is the Teacher. There are three qualities: body, speech, and mind. Increasing greatly is up to ten. Brightness is the manifest appearance of all knowable things. Completion is the state of Buddhahood. Eliminating the darkness of faults is eliminating the ignorance of those to be tamed. Alone means that two Buddhas do not appear in one field. Why is that? Because of accumulating incomparable karma, and because sentient beings have thoughts of acceptance and rejection towards the Teacher, and in order to make the unguided into guides, the aspiration is fulfilled. As it is said: Two Buddhas do not appear together. Pleasing is because the form is never tiring to see. As it is said: Close to peace and pleasing, blazing but causing no harm, tamed and of great majesty, who would not have faith in this form? Whoever has seen your form a hundred times, or whoever has seen it for the first time, both equally satisfy the eyes. Your form is so beautiful, naturally never tiring to see, causing all who see it to rejoice again and again. It is like that which is said. The world is the three realms. Striving for benefit means turning them away from suffering and its causes, and placing them in happiness and its causes, therefore it is without laziness. Elimination is, as it is said: Hearing you brings joy, seeing you causes faith to arise, hearing your speech brings delight, relying on you brings liberation.

Thus he acted. Thus proclaiming, it seizes sins. Remembering you brings joy. Eliminating brings forth wisdom, and fully knowing purifies. Welcoming you brings glory. Relying on you, wisdom becomes supreme. Depending on you, there is no fear. Serving with reverence brings happiness. Thus it is said. This arising is the Buddha's coming into the world. Making cool means pacifying the three fires of those to be tamed. As it is said: For a while, at first, your words captivate the minds of those who listen. Then, thinking about it in the mind, even attachment and ignorance are eliminated. Having praised the Buddha in this way, praising the Dharma destroys sins, which is one verse called "the Teaching." The supreme jewel, Vaidurya, is good, incomparable, pure lapis lazuli, becomes the ornament on the crown of the Nagas, and dispels the dim darkness beneath the dwelling place of the Nagas. Possessing five qualities, so is the Teaching. Among them, if the Teaching is combined with the two realizations, the good one is Samadhi. The incomparable one is discipline, as it is said: Pure, possessing four qualities, breaking vows brings no benefit, its antidote relies on peace. Thus it is said. The pure one is wisdom. If combined with the scriptural Dharma, it is the Sutra Pitaka, the Vinaya Pitaka, and the Abhidhamma Pitaka, in that order. The great one is the three lineages. Receiving is doing listening and so on. Abiding on the earth is the mind abiding of those who practice in the nine meditative states. Dimness is the two kinds of ignorance. Well accomplished is one verse called "the cloud of Dharma." Rain clouds move in the sky, becoming the cause of rain, and the rainwater is also of one taste, relieving the suffering of heat, and changing into many flavors depending on the vessel. Thus possessing five qualities, so is the Teaching. Benefiting beings is as before. Nirvana is of samsara. Transcendence is going beyond it. Supreme is because it is good in the ultimate truth, or because it is unconditioned. Its cause is because it causes it to be attained. One taste is that all dharmas are without self, without difference.
