The earth realm has been described, and the stream of bliss is continuous. Having praised the Dharma of realization in this way, the praise of the Dharma of scripture is, the verse called "Sugata." If one relies on this, what benefit is there? The verse called "Tree" is one line. The vast fruit is the heavenly realm and liberation. Then, what meaning or word should one rely on? The verse called "Sugata" is two lines. Like a bee abandoning flowers and taking honey. Having extensively explained the instructions in this way, the advice to the general public, summarized and spoken, is the verse called "Moment." In an instant, the body decays, enjoyment is exhausted, and it is constant. Between the arising of antidotes, abandon the five objects that distract and disturb the mind. Rely on solitude, which obtains the fruit of peaceful bliss and is free from the harm of bondage, alone and without relying on companions, that is, without noise. Abandon ignorance, which is like pointing out obstacles to opening the door to liberation from samsara for oneself and others, that is, delusion, disturbance, that is, blindness, and bewilderment, that is, attachment. In general, horses are naturally sleepy, but the best of horses, called "Qiangshe," is very vigilant from the time it is a foal, so it does not sleep for a long time. After sleeping a little, it enjoys grass and water. Similarly, the disciples of the Buddha should not indulge in desires for a long time. Even if they indulge a little, they will become tired of it and practice virtue. Having advised the general public in this way, the special instruction to the disciples is to be like a great tree with nine qualities, as it is said, the verse called "You One" is one verse. For example, like the trunk of a great tree, it is stable, like gum, it is patience, gentleness is like leaves, stillness is like flowers, wisdom is like branches, the complete ripening of causes is like sprouts, aspiration is like the tip, discipline is like shade, and complete peace, that is, nirvana, is like fruit. Like a great ocean, be endowed with eleven qualities, as it is said, the verse called "You One" is one verse. For example, like the vastness of the great ocean, wisdom is vast,

Like a snow mountain, may I clearly know all phenomena; like being blessed, may I be inclined towards virtue; like a deep abyss, may I realize the profound Dharma; like great joy, may I possess joyful faith; like constant coolness, may I be cooled from the heat of afflictions; like being free from the snare of poisonous snakes, may I be free from the three poisons; like abandoning the fear of fire, may I abandon the fear of evil destinies; like being naturally pure, may I be pure through discipline; like quenching thirst, may I quench desire; like a ship capable of bearing heavy burdens, may I be capable of bearing the burden of benefiting others. May you possess the six qualities like a great rain cloud. Saying this is one verse, "You one." For example, just as a great rain cloud benefits flowers and so on, similarly, may it liberate many beings from sin, establish them in virtue, and benefit them; like the thunder of a dragon, may it proclaim the great sound of speaking the sacred Dharma, unafraid of the suffering of samsara; like a great rain falling, may fame spread widely; like rain driven by a strong wind, may the mind be driven by the wind of compassion; like pacifying the dust rising from the earth, may it completely pacify the dust of afflictions; like a shadow adorning the earth, may the three doors of body, speech, and mind be adorned with discipline. Having spoken the instructions in this way, dedicating the virtue arising from it, dedicating it to accomplish goodness, is one verse, "My." The conduct of the Sugatas is from the initial generation of bodhicitta until the final passing into nirvana. Constant happiness is being without illness for as long as one lives. Good fortune is being without wrong livelihood. Fulfilling the hopes in the mind is accomplishing all desired things. Rejoicing in benefiting others is being delighted to liberate all sentient beings from suffering and establish them in happiness. Omniscience is understanding all that is to be known. May I attain, is aspiring to obtain that result. Dedicating to pacify misdeeds is one verse, "Hell." May the abyss and precipice of hell be as flat as the palm of the hand, may the darkness be completely eliminated, may the flames burning on the body be pacified, may the rotting and foul mud dry up, and may the lotus leaves that grow and are born there cover its roots.
