Stealing leads to being with enemies, Lying leads to slander. Divisive speech separates friends, Harsh words lead to hearing unpleasant things. Irrelevant speech makes words undignified, Greed destroys hope in the mind. Harmful intent bestows fear, Wrong view is the very evil view. Drinking alcohol confuses the mind, Not giving leads to poverty. Wrong livelihood leads to deception, Pride is the very evil lineage. Jealousy is the very insignificance, Anger is the very bad complexion. Not asking the wise is foolishness, These are the fruits for a person. The first of all is falling into evil destinies, Those are called non-virtuous deeds. Whatever ripening results are declared, For all virtuous deeds, Those fruits occur in reverse. Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, The actions created by them are non-virtuous. Without attachment, hatred, and ignorance, The actions created by them are virtuous. From non-virtue comes all suffering, Likewise, all evil destinies. From virtue comes all happy destinies, And happiness in all lifetimes. With mind, body, and speech, One should turn away from all non-virtues, And always engage in virtue. This Dharma has been taught in two ways. This Dharma liberates from the hells, And from the animal realm, In the pure realms of gods and humans, One obtains increasing happiness, glory, and royal power. One experiences the bliss of meditative absorption, immeasurables, formless realms, And Brahma and so on. Thus, this Dharma of higher realms, And its fruits have been summarized. The Dharma of definite goodness, Appears subtle and profound, To children who lack learning and hearing, The Victorious One said it causes fear. "Self exists, is not non-existent, does not change, Self's possession exists, is not non-existent, does not change," it is said. Children are afraid in that way, For the wise, fear is exhausted. All these beings, Arise from grasping at self, For beings who possess grasping at self's possession, He teaches the single benefit. Saying "Self exists, self's possession exists," This is reversed in the ultimate meaning. Because, knowing exactly as it is, The two do not arise. The aggregates that arise from grasping at self, That grasping at self is false in reality. With that false seed, How can a true birth arise? Having seen the aggregates as not true in that way, One will abandon grasping at self. Having abandoned those who grasp at self, Later,

The aggregates will not arise. Just as relying on a mirror, the image of one's own nature appears, but in reality, there is not even a little of it. Likewise, relying on the aggregates, the perception of self arises as an object. Like the image of one's own face, in reality, it does not exist at all. Just as without relying on a mirror, the image of one's own nature does not appear, similarly, without relying on the aggregates, the perception of self is also the same. The noble Kaundinya, having heard such meaning, with his own self having obtained the eye of Dharma, repeated and spoke to the monks: As long as there is clinging to the aggregates, so long there is clinging to self. If there is clinging to self, then there is action, and from that, there is also birth. The three paths are without beginning, end, or middle. The wheel of samsara is like a wheel of fire. Like a wheel, mutually causal, this becomes samsara. Since it is not self, nor other, nor obtained in the three times, therefore the perception of self will cease. Then action and birth, thus cause and effect and arising and ceasing, having seen the nature of their cessation, in reality, one does not think of the world as either existent or nonexistent. All suffering is exhausted. Having heard this Dharma, without conceptualization, regarding the fearless state, previously I, being completely ignorant, was afraid. If all these in Nirvana become nonexistent, then you will not fear. Here, it is taught as nonexistent, why do you become afraid? Liberation is without self and without aggregates. If you desire such liberation, with self and aggregates being clear, why are you not happy here? If Nirvana is not unreal, then how could it be real? Holding onto real and unreal, know that cessation is Nirvana. In short, the view of nonexistence, saying that the results of actions do not exist, non-virtue is the cause of bad migrations, that is said to be a wrong view. In short, the view of existence, saying that the results of actions exist, virtue is the cause of happy migrations, that is said to be a correct view. Because of the cessation of existence and nonexistence by wisdom, transcending sin and merit, therefore, from bad migrations and happy migrations, the noble ones say this is liberation. Seeing arising with causes, one has transcended nonexistence. Seeing ceasing with causes, one does not accept it as existence either. Previously arisen
