Delighting in virtue with diligence, Samadhi with one-pointedness, free from afflictions, Wisdom ascertains the truth, Loving-kindness extends to all sentient beings, Compassion is of one taste, possessing intelligence. Generosity brings prosperity, ethics bring happiness, Patience brings radiance, diligence brings splendor, Samadhi brings peace, wisdom brings liberation, Loving-kindness accomplishes all purposes. These seven, without exception, Simultaneously, through the perfections, Attain the inconceivable realm of wisdom, Becoming the protector of the world. Just as in the Hearer's Vehicle, The eight Hearer grounds are taught, Likewise, in the Great Vehicle, Are the ten Bodhisattva grounds. Among them, the first is the Joyful Ground, To make the Bodhisattva joyful, Abandoning the three kinds of bondage, Born into the lineage of the Thus-Gone One. The result of that maturation, Becomes the supreme perfection of generosity. A hundred thousand world realms shake, Becoming the great sovereign of Jambudvipa. The second is called the Stainless Ground, Because the actions of body, speech, and mind, All ten are without defilement, Naturally abiding in them. The result of that maturation, Becomes the supreme perfection of ethics. Becoming the lord of the glorious seven jewels, A wheel-turning king who benefits beings. Skilled in abandoning the immoral conduct of sentient beings. The third ground is the Illuminating Ground, For the sake of generating the light of wisdom and peace, Generating samadhi, clairvoyance, And completely exhausting desire and hatred. The result of that maturation, Is to practice patience and diligence even more. Becoming a great powerful deity of the gods, Able to reverse the desire for desirable things. The fourth is called the Radiant Ground, For the sake of generating the light of true wisdom, Through especially meditating on all the aspects of enlightenment. The result of that maturation, Is to become the king of the Joyous Heaven. Able to destroy the view of the aggregation of existence, Is a wise one. The fifth, the Very Difficult to Subdue, Because everything is extremely difficult to subdue, For the sake of understanding the subtle meanings of the noble truths, Generating wisdom. The result of that maturation, Is to become the king of the Tushita Heaven. Able to reverse the afflictive views of all non-Buddhists. The sixth is called the Manifest Ground, Manifest in the Buddha's Dharma

For the sake of the cause. Because of familiarizing oneself with calm abiding and insight, one obtains cessation and increases. Its Vipāka is that one becomes the king of gods, Subhakṛtsna. Not stolen by the Śrāvakas, the pacifier with excessive pride. The seventh is the Far-Going Ground, because the number is complete with far-going. Because in every instant, one enters into cessation there. Its Vipāka is that one becomes the lord of the Independent Gods. Knowing the realization of the truth of the noble ones, one becomes the great leader. Likewise, the eighth is the Immovable Ground, because the immovable is non-conceptual. The immovable, likewise, the body and, pure mind, the sphere of activity is inconceivable. Its Vipāka is that one becomes the Brahma, the lord of a thousand. Arhats, Pratyekabuddhas, etc., are not stolen in the determination of meaning. The ninth ground is the good, called Good Intelligence, like a crown prince. Because each one obtains perfect knowledge, therefore this is good intelligence. Its Vipāka is that one becomes the Brahma, the lord of two thousand. When asked about the thoughts of sentient beings, Arhats, etc., are not stolen. The tenth is the Cloud of Dharma, because it rains down the excellent rain of Dharma. Bodhisattvas, by the Buddhas', rays of light, are empowered. Its Vipāka is that one becomes the lord of the Pure Abode Gods. The lord of the realm of immeasurable wisdom, the Great Almighty is supreme. Thus, these ten are proclaimed as the ten grounds of Bodhisattvas. The other ground of the Buddhas, in all aspects, is immeasurable. The vast one is merely said to be endowed with the ten powers. Each of its powers is immeasurable, like all beings. The immeasurability of the Buddhas, like the sky in all directions and, the earth, water, fire, and wind. It is said to be just that much. If the cause is that much, if one does not see the immeasurability. The immeasurability of the Buddhas, one will not have faith in that. Therefore, in front of the body image, the stupa, or even others. These twenty verses, even in one day, are recited three times. To the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and also to the Bodhisattvas. Having bowed down and taken refuge in all ways, the worthy ones.
