The fire of desire, inevitably descending from the body, is so powerful that, like a forest fire stirred by strong winds, it burns many things to ashes. Young man, let us enjoy pleasure together! Hearing this, he covered his ears with both hands and said: You should not say such words, you are like the mother of a son, you are my mother. This is the gateway to the lower realms, please completely abandon unlawful desire. Then, the guardian goddess of the realm said: What fault do you see here? Young man, listen to me again. For example, when you are scorched by the heat of the sun's rays and drink pure water, is there any sin in the body being satisfied by the water? Similarly, when the fire of desire is burning intensely, what is un-Dharmic about the pleasure of the body touching water? Kunala said: This will damage my reputation, be extremely despised, and ultimately lead to regret. My conduct will become improper, and my lineage will also decline. I will not become noble, I will become poor and evil, and I will be punished by words. I will be condemned, my reputation will be damaged, and the Dharma will also be obscured. The guardian goddess of the realm said: That may be the case for others, but what you fear will not happen, because no one will see it, and the reputation will not be damaged, because this place is very secluded and far from people. She also said: The young man sees and says, whether women or servants, there is no one here, so listen to my words! If a woman full of desire completely avoids secluded places, then her great Dharma will be destroyed, have you heard of such a saying? Seeing the place of giving that matches the appearance, there is no sin, enjoy the beautiful radiance and youth there to your heart's content! Kunala said: You say that even living here you cannot see, then listen to me. The fire god on this tree burning with splendor will see me, Brahma will see, and Indra, as well as the water god, the moon god, and Yama will see. Furthermore, other deities residing in the supreme palace will surely see.
