土地非常广大，因此，给这个年轻人起名叫金颜吧。于是，就给他起了个名字叫金颜。这个金颜少年有八个奶妈，两个是喂奶的奶妈，两个是擦拭乳汁的奶妈，两个是擦拭污垢的奶妈，两个是玩伴奶妈。委托给这八个奶妈后，这八个奶妈用牛奶、酸奶、酥油、炼乳、酥油的精华，以及其他各种主要的用具来养育他，像池塘里的莲花一样迅速地养大他。当他长大成人时，就接近文字、数字、算术、手算、减法、加法、乘法，并且精通八种观察术：地基观察术、衣服观察术、珍宝观察术、车辆观察术、大象观察术、马观察术、少年观察术、少女观察术，以及辨别和阅读。而且他非常聪明。他具有很大的福德，心地善良，致力于利益自己和他人，富有慈悲心，是渴望佛法的大丈夫，对众人和蔼可亲。他阅读所有的论典，因为他具有非常大的福德，所以衣服等财物，凡是他所想的和所祈求的，都能如愿以偿。但他并不认为自己具有如此大的福德。船主太阳心想，我依靠皈依三宝的恩德生了儿子，因此对世尊的教法非常虔诚，时时处处都为世尊的教法服务。又在那个时候，在王舍城的城市里，有个叫无垢的船主，从大海航行归来，他供养了世尊以及一千二百五十位比丘，并且每位比丘都供养了三件法衣。这位大丈夫进入大海以及船主的名声都结出了果实，就像这样。

The land was very vast, therefore, let this young man be named Golden Face. So, he was given the name Golden Face. This Golden Face youth had eight nurses: two nurses who nursed him, two nurses who wiped his milk, two nurses who wiped his dirt, and two playmate nurses. After entrusting him to these eight nurses, these eight nurses nurtured him with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, the essence of butter, and other various essential utensils, raising him quickly like a lotus in a pond. When he grew up, he approached letters, numbers, arithmetic, manual calculation, subtraction, addition, and multiplication, and became proficient in the eight types of examination: examination of foundations, examination of clothes, examination of jewels, examination of vehicles, examination of elephants, examination of horses, examination of youths, and examination of young women, as well as distinguishing and reading. And he was very clever. He possessed great merit, had a good heart, was dedicated to benefiting himself and others, was full of compassion, was a great man who desired the Dharma, and was amiable to all beings. He read all the treatises, and because he had very great merit, clothes and other wealth, whatever he thought of and whatever he prayed for, would be fulfilled accordingly. But he did not think that he possessed such great merit. The shipmaster Sun thought, 'I gave birth to a son through the kindness of taking refuge in the Three Jewels,' and therefore he was very devoted to the teachings of the Blessed One, and he served the teachings of the Blessed One at all times. Also, at that time, in the city of Rajagriha, there was a shipmaster named Immaculate, who returned from sailing the ocean, and he offered a meal to the Blessed One and the one thousand two hundred and fifty monks who were with him, and he offered three Dharma robes to each monk. This great man's entry into the great ocean and the shipmaster's name both bore fruit, like this.
